"We spent a night at the Wheatsheaf, to break the long drive from Scotland to Berkshire. Our room, although not huge, was clean, with crisp, white bed linen on a very comfy bed, and with lovely views of the pretty village church. Although warned about the frequent bell ringing, it did not disturb us in any way. Nice, white towels were provided in the shower room. Lucy and her team couldn't have been more welcoming, efficient, and helpful. It was convenient to be able to enjoy our evening...

"A great value for money hotel, room was clean and comfortable, the whole building is really warm, so be prepared,! "Overall pleasant stay in a cosy garden room.Bit of noise from surrounding rooms could hear next door quite clearly taps running doors opening and closing also dog barking on other side.Really disappointed on top of room rate had to pay £15 to park car surely the fact weve paid to stay in the hotel over other hotels in the area that should be a reward to park car for free just think for the price for 1 night £175 parking would be included lets look at the obvious 7 nights times 175 plus parking...

"It’s hard to comment properly as we arrived late in the dark but even still the staff on the desk were so friendly greeting us, and super helpful and understanding when I realised I’d made a mistake with the booking. It’s lovely and quiet despite being so close to the motorway. Immediately put at ease and reassured that it’s a great place to stay, even if as it is for us just an overnight stopover mid journey. "

"Lovely hotel with fabulous friendly staff in a great location. On arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite with hot tub which was a lovely surprise. Easy walk down the hill to Bowness-On-Windermere. Just a bit of feedback with the Room. Not enough plug sockets in lounge area. The safe was located at top of wardrobe and neither myself or my daughter could reach. "
