"Arrived late evening and was met by a very friendly receptionist, who sorted out everything very quickly. The property is being upgraded and therefore has building going on, how's the room was of a really good standard and very clean. I was very impressed. The breakfast was good and had a good choice. Will use again and definitely recommend it."

"Nice old pub in town . The food was excellent. All I ate was great. The two fellows,Calum and omg forgot the assistant or night managers name . Made my stay. I liked my bed facing the street Less noise . I would come back for sure. The , waiter from USA , only 9 from home had a British accent "

"I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful host who showed me to my room and told me about the events of the coming weekend. The pub website says that it can be noisy because they have late night events but up on the second (or was it third floor) it was actually fairly quiet even with the Pride after party going on after midnight.
The pub has a small car park that was never full in the week I was there.
The location is perfect, right in the centre of Ulverston and within easy walking...

City center and docks are easy to reach by walk (we recommend the docks museum, very interesting and free admission). Huge Tesco and other food corners around the hotel. "

"Could not have asked for a better night's stay for the price. Absolutely fantastic value. Mark contacted me in advance about our stay and I felt completely at ease. We had a lovely large room with comfy beds and even TV, selection of films, chairs and tablesz tea and coffee, everything we'd need for a night in should that be what we wanted.
Location is perfect, right over the road from Morrisons and walking distance to the town centre. Had a great night's sleep and would definitely book again....
