Beautiful Location, but Cleanliness Needs Improvement

This fun lake house is in a great location with accessibility to breathtaking views of the sunrise, sunset, and star-filled sky, however the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I’m not saying we’re clean freaks, but my family of 14 highly considered moving to a different property after the first night. We ultimately stuck through due to our short 4-night stay. We found thick dust on furniture, dead bugs throughout the house, and even a live insect found crawling in our bed. While the property manager was responsive, the offered solutions didn’t fully address our concerns. If cleanliness standards are improved, I believe this could be a much better rental experience

Family Lake Sinclair Vacation

We had a wonderful time at lake Sinclair. The home was big, beautiful and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms to accommodate our extended family. The location was perfect, in a quiet neighborhood, only 12 minutes to town, and right around the corner from the marina. The dock was so nice. We spent so much family time out there together, swinging, talking and swimming in the lake. The property manager was easy to reach, and quick to respond when needed.

Great Lake Sinclair House

We had a family get together with ages from 6 to 66 and it was great for everyone. Plenty of bedrooms spread out over the house. Loved the dock with part being covered and open, the swings and chairs and the TV and sound system were an added bonus. Great location for grocery and restaurants as well.

Amazing view of the lake

We were celebrating our 50th anniversary with our family of 13. The house was great, lots of room to spread out. We were short one bedroom due to water leak from frozen pipe. The property manager worked really hard to get it fixed so we could still come. Thanks so much for that. The basement with pool table was nice, but no heat down there. I would suggest some eclectic heaters for the bedrooms as it was unseasonably cold while we were there. We did a lot of cooking, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We had lots of fun and made wonderful memories with our children and grandchildren. Would love to stay again in the warmer seasons to enjoy the lake more.

Great house

The house was perfect for our family crew, ages 1-60 years. The third floor is quiet enough for naps of all ages. The dock and its amenities are amazing, the pool table room complete with bar area is so much fun. The large kitchen area is a super gathering place while the living room area is perfect for toddlers. We will return!

Very clean and spacious! We had a group of 12 of us. All adults. Everyone had a room and privacy. Only draw back was its really rough on boats at the dock bc it's on the main waterway. Other than that it's perfect!!

Vacation within a vacation

Very spacious property. Allowed my family to separate for personal space and yet be together. Being able to walk outside for a stroll or go down to the dock to fish listen to music dance on the dock and watch fireworks at night was just spectacular. Being able to use the grill was absolutely amazing. To me it was a vacation within a vacation. Truly enjoyed our stay! Can’t wait until we can do it again

Brothers Reunion

Everything was awesome. So much care has gone into making this lake house a home. The dock/boathouse are perfect for fishing, boating, relaxing, music and conversation. Game room downstairs provided hours of fun. Everything we needed for a great reunion. Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful lake place.

This has potential for 5 stars.

Appliances were old and hard to work. Refridge slams open because of the slope of floor, also doesn't like to stay closed. dishwasher top rack falls down on right side. TV remotes didn't work on lower level. Bbq is old and bottom is rotted out. A house that sleeps 12 means a lot of cooking is happening. Owner should invest in a rolling 30" or 36" gas or propane bbq. Really weak was that old charcoal bbq. One fan down by the dock didn't work. Nails sticking out of the wood stairs got a couple of people hurt.

Spacious lake front house.

We really enjoyed our stay for my husband’s 40th. We took 4 other couples and we had more than enough rooms and bathrooms. The layout is a little strange, but doesn’t affect the stay much. The bar area in the basement and dock area were the perfect spots for our group to hang out. The property manager, Melinda, was responsive and very easy to work with. We would definitely return.

Perfect location

The house was on a beautiful spot on the lake and also close to the convenience of town. The house is huge and had everything we needed for our large group. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms! Property manager was super sweet also! I would definitely recommend!

Very comfortable

Its a very spacious and cozy home, however the basement rooms are not clean. The basement rooms have ceiling tiles falling, very dirty with spiders and webs,pillows had a bad smell and sheets were dirty.

Fantastic Dock and Responsive Hosts

We had a wonderful, socially distant long-weekend stay at this home. The owners and property manager were very responsive to our group throughout the weekend. It truly felt like friends were allowing us to use their home for the weekend. The dock and all of the amenities were fantastic (think chairs, floats, sound system) and there was plenty of fridge space for beverages and food. We were also very close to a large grocery store and well-equipped marina for a pontoon rental.

House was NOT cleaned.

Overall, we had a great experience at this house. It was big enough to host the amount of people we had, and the amenities were perfect. The dock is amazing and the downstairs bar and pool room was wonderful as well! The biggest issue I had, was the cleanliness of the house. I walked into cobwebs immediately entering the home. I had to spend hours cleaning spider webs off of the beds and in the rooms, and even had to go as far as to dust up dead cockroaches behind doors. I had to wipe down counters because of dust and debris. It looked like nobody had been in the house for at least a few weeks, if not longer. We also found half eaten food in the fridge including a jar of queso dip that was almost gone and other condiments that looked old. I am very disappointed in that aspect of the home because it was supposed to be clean for us upon entering the house. I spent my first day cleaning to make sure my guests were comfortable before they arrived. I am also disappointed because I asked for the cleaning fee back and did not even get a response from the management company. I emailed three times, and still no response. I do not think that is the best way to run a business. I would stay here again ONLY if it was assured to me that the house was cleaned ahead of time, otherwise, it was a headache upon arrival and I am disappointed in the management company for ignoring my emails.

Great house. Well kept and good space. Tons of refrigerator/freezer space for food and beverages. We loved the huge dock as well. Owners left a note saying "consider yourselves our house guests" and that warm feeling carries over throughout the property. Just remember to clean the grills out and a second garbage cart or the addition of a recycling cart would be really helpful, as refuse in a 6BR home does add up. But those are small nits, as it is a great property and a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Large house with many amenities

Very large house that was well stocked and close to stores. House had great amenities, including great “party room” and dock. Main floor of house is not open concept, in case this is something important for your family. I personally found this no problem during my stay. My main complaint with the house is the same as in a previous review - one exterior garbage can for a house this size. Our family arrived on Wed (11 people total - less than maximum for the house) and by Saturday there was nowhere to place trash.. When there was no room remaining in the trash can, we contacted the property contact and were told that we could haul our trash off ourselves as “that is what they have to do”. We hauled trash to a recycle center 7 miles away. I would highly recommend an additional can be added for future guests.

House was well suited for a large family group with small children. Well equipped

The house has well equipped kitchen, extra linens and very nice dock. Only complaint is one trash bin for a large six bedroom house. Agent charged us an extra $100 because we over filled it after a five day stay. Really petty. Supply the house with two bins.
