Guests who drive to property may park their car overnight in at Milford Sound Terminal, Car Park C, then walk 15 minutes to the cruise terminal. Payment for parking is made inside the terminal at the designated overnight cruise pay machine (credit card only, NZD 30 per night, license plate required). Additional parking (no charge) is available at Deep Water Basin Car Park; if parking there allow 45 minutes to park the vehicle and walk to the terminal building.
Please be advised that this property is a boat and not a standard hotel.
Guests must check in at 2:35 PM to board the boat at 2:50 PM. Departure is at 3:10 PM.

Room is spacious for a cruise with full length glass panels. Shower and toilet are sizable too. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Captain is great and knowledgeable. Overall a very good experience.

Really loved my stay. The staff were wonderful and provided excellent hospitality. We meant a lot of people from around the world. We loved the nature. I tried kayaking and the outdoor hot tub. My only tip is to make sure you are covered up as there are a lot of sandflies and wear insect repellent. Overall loved our stay and very memorable

we really enjoyed this trip, jack and his crew were absolutely fantastic and the food was so so good (thank you Chris!). we saw penguins and seals and the hot tub was brilliant at night listening to the owls and birds. due to the rainfall during the night the waterfalls were absolutely epic the best we've ever seen. the cabin was clean and the beds super comfy so we got a great nights sleep. we got the tender out which was great and everyone enjoyed the kayaking and swimming. the whole trip was so enjoyable, absolutely 100 % would recommend

Beyond amazing! A marvelous trip in our last day in New Zealand. The weather in the Milford Sound was exceptional starting with rain during our drive which got all the waterfalls hyperactive; once we got on the Fiordland Jewel, the sky cleared and the sun shined for the duration of the trip with calms winds. The staff on the cruise boat from captain Francis to the crew Abby, Sarah, the cook Chris and Sunil were exceptional. One of the best cruises ever. We spent the night in the Captains suite with the boat anchored in a basin surrounded by 100 meter mountains on all sides. The sky was so clear which allowed for amazing pictures of the southern sky and all the stars unblocked by any light pollution or any cloud. It was truly incredible.

The wonderful experience of overnight cruise on Milford Sound. The whole crew was very attentive and helpful to our needs. Our vegetarian food was well catered and delicious. Same thing for breakfast. Our kayaking and swimming in the sound experience was very well and we will remember this for a long time 🙏 Captain Jack took us close to waterfalls, mists, wildlife - sea lions and penguins 👍👍 Will recommend highly!

We had a great time aboard Fiordland Discovery overnight cruise on Milford Sound. The crew were really friendly and knowledgeable. Food was great. My only small niggle is that it was so hot in the cabin sleep was hard. None of our party slept well.

Loved our overnight cruise on Milford Sound! Shared a quad cabin room and though small & cozy, was a perfect place to sleep & so good to wake up to a great view!! Food on the cruise was excellent & all the staff very helpful & informative! One of our highlights on our holiday I would definetly recomend a stay on the Fiordland Jewel !!

Best stay in Milford Sound!

Our stay on this luxury boat in Milford Sound was absolutely unforgettable—easily a 5-star experience! The highlight was being on the water after all the tours had left, giving us an incredible sense of peace and exclusivity. Waking up surrounded by majestic mountains, with the soft sounds of nature and the peaceful morning mist, was simply magical. The wildlife sightings added to the charm, making every moment feel special. The food was outstanding, with each meal beautifully prepared and delicious, and the service was impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed. To top it off, the beds were incredibly comfortable, allowing us to rest and recharge in total luxury. This experience in Milford Sound exceeded all our expectations, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay. Highly recommend!

Magical cruise

This overnight cruise on Milford Sound may have been the highlight of our fabulous 2 week trip to New Zealand. The staff were all so attentive and helpful. Meg was a delight to talk to and so helpful. She even hung our swimsuits to dry in the engine room. Jimmy brought the underwater sea life to life with an amazing video and narrative. He made sure to direct our attention and the ship to the most beautiful sights in the sound. We were blessed to see rare penguin, seals and a waterfall with a double rainbow. The wind changed direction suddenly and we all got sprayed by the waterfall. Super fun!!! And the staff was quick to grab us all towels. The food was delicious too! It was so nice to relax overnight and use the hot tub under the stars. Kayaking was fun and included in cist. Amazing adventure that I highly recommend!

Beautiful stay on the Fiordland. The only downside was that there were guests with children that they did not tend. It was disappointing because it really impacted the quality of the stay. I have no issue with children…just hard when they are allowed to run free and be very loud.

This was easily the highlight of a trip full of highlights. The staff was incredible, made us feel like royalty. The food was top notch, and the boat was breathtaking. Our original trip to Milford Sound had to be moved to Doubtful Sound due to a road outage. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our trip went uninterrupted. I would recommend this cruise even at twice the price. An unforgettable experience. Thank you to the captain, owners, and all the staff.
