Distinctive hundred year old house, with beautiful hard wood floors, and stone porch, original arts & crafts architectural detail, directly across from Woodmont beach. This 3500 sq ft home has 6 bedrooms and 3.5 Bathrooms, formal dining room and fully equipped eat-in kitchen. Living room has grand fireplace (gas). Baby grand piano in living room. Home office and wifi for those who need to work. It's a great house for beach vacationing, family reunions, or work retreats. Enjoy sunrises and moonrises over the water. Great breezes and views from the enclosed wrap-around screened in porch, or from the many windows overlooking the beautiful water. Third floor has futon bed for extra sleeping space if needed and playroom ideal for kids. Cozy TV den next to kitchen, lovely backyard garden, outdoor shower for use after the beach. Entire house is newly renovated, with option to use central air. Washer and Dryer in laundry room, 2 Dishwashers, all linens provided, weber grill. Ping Pong Table. Beach, Long Island Sound and fishing off the pier directly in front of the house! Circular driveway for at least 4 cars. 10 minutes from Milford Metro North Train Station; 20 minutes from New Haven Metro North or Amtrak Station (with car rental available); 20 minutes from New Haven. 5 minutes from Yale West Campus.

This beautiful home and its location on the water were perfect for our annual reunion of high school friends. Ample seating within the various rooms encouraged both large and small groupings. Our October stay was cozy; summer is surely delightful. Several of us have mentioned that we would love to return!

This house was amazing! We had 12 people for 2 nights and the space was more than accomodating. Every room was spacious and clean with lots of amenities. Plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The bathrooms were clean and updated. The architecture is beautiful and the location across from the beach was perfect.

The property is a gem! Beautiful Arts & Crafts woodwork!Nicely appointed and yet comfortable. Kitchen is large and could accomodate all of us gathered at once. Coffee on the front veranda overlooking the water made for a perfect setting. The neighbors and dogs strolling by the made us feel welcome too.

This house was absolutely charming ! There was so many additions that every time we looked we found hidden gems all over the house -inside and out ! Across the street was the beach which is rocky so wear water shoes if your feet are sensitive. Had a fun time sitting in the porch area and people watching.

Beautiful and unique house in a beautiful setting

The house is beautiful, and one of the most unique and homey places we have everything stayed. Very spacious with lots of artwork, and arts and crafts style woodwork. The view of the sound is so serene. We enjoyed very much sitting out on the porch and gazing at the water and the passerbys, and taking walks along the sound. It has everything you need and then some. Thank you so much for sharing your gracious and beautiful home with us!

College graduation weekend

We had a magical stay in this truly enchanting home the beds were comfortable. The kitchen well equipt for entertaining a large crowd. The fire place and piano were the backdrop for many intimate moments. The gardens were beautiful with azaleas and many perennials. The location directly across from the beach allowed for many walks and playtime together and the waves sung us to sleep at night. We would love to make a new family tradition for visiting here again and again.

A perfect home for our reunion

The Arts and Crafts home was more beautiful than the pictures reflected! We loved all of the details in the woodwork, hidden little corners, tons of space to spread out and wonderful places to gather together. Having recently sold our "family home" we were thrilled to find this home in which to have a mini- family reunion. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked- from serving platters to garlic powder to paper towels...We had everything we needed. The gas fireplace created a beautiful focal point and the kids enjoyed all the games (especially Connect Four and Jenga).We all loved staying at the Art and Crafts home in Milford- it was a unanimous decision to try to come back next year!!

Anniversary Trip

We had a great stay at this home. It was wonderful and quirky in the way all 100+ year old homes can be. Lots of space for all of us. We were a big group from 3 to 83 years old. The porch was our favorite spot watching the water and all the neighbors who walked by, many stopping to chat. Shared great meals in the large dining room and even had a ping pong tournament. Loved that the outdoor shower has a hot water setting. Just loved it.

Great Stay with an accommodating host

The weather was unfortunately uncooperative however the house is wonderful to still allow for personal space. The host was super attentive to any needs or concerns we had. We will be returning next year.
