Once an industrial zone, it has recently transformed into a cutting-edge district dedicated to fashion, design, art, and culture.

As the beating heart of creative Milan, the neighborhood hosts exhibition spaces, fashion ateliers, international showrooms, and cultural centers, many of which are housed in renovated former factories. The preserved industrial aesthetic gives the area an authentic and captivating character.

    Main points of interest include:

A museum dedicated to world cultures, with both temporary exhibitions and permanent collections.

A large exhibition space celebrating the work of one of Italy’s most iconic fashion designers.

A multidisciplinary cultural hub that hosts events, workshops, performances, and installations.

Vast areas used for international fashion and design events, especially during Milan Design Week.

The district's main streets—via Tortona, via Savona, and via Bergognone—are vibrant all year round, filled with exhibitions and events that attract artists, designers, and visitors from across the globe.

    In the surrounding areas:

Navigli: the canal zone, famous for its nightlife, open-air markets, art galleries, and historic bars.

Porta Genova: a key transport hub with its railway station and the iconic pedestrian bridge that links the two souls of the district.

Via Solari: another iconic street full of fashion and design showrooms, ideal for a walk through creativity and innovation.

Easily accessible by public transport, the Tortona area has become a symbol of Milan’s urban revival, constantly offering new events, exhibitions, and cultural activities.GET AROUND The apartment is located in a central and well-connected area, in the heart of the dynamic Tortona district. Getting around from here by public transport is simple and efficient, thanks to numerous surface lines and the proximity to several metro stations.

    Tram

Just a few steps from the entrance, there is a stop for Tram 10, which runs across the city from north to south, connecting areas like Viale Lunigiana, Corso Sempione, Porta Genova, and Piazza 24 Maggio. It’s a useful line to reach many strategic points in the city without changing transport.

    Metro

The apartment is also strategically located in relation to the metro system:

The M2 line (green) is accessible from Sant’Agostino and Porta Genova stations, both about a 5–6-minute walk away. This line directly connects to Cadorna, Centrale FS, Garibaldi, and Lambrate.

The new M4 line (blue) is also within easy reach thanks to the interchange at Sant’Ambrogio station, which is only a 10–15-minute walk away or easily reachable via bus 94.

    Bus

In the immediate vicinity, there are also several bus lines:

Line 68, ideal for traveling towards the northwest of the city.

Line 94, which follows an inner loop useful for reaching Cadorna, Porta Venezia, and Piazza Tricolore.

The bus stops are easily reachable on foot in less than 5 minutes and offer a convenient alternative to the tram.

How to reach Milan's main train stations

The apartment is well connected to all of the city’s main train stations via the M2 line:

Central Station: reachable in about 15 minutes by taking the M2 from Sant’Agostino towards Cascina Gobba and getting off at Centrale FS.

Garibaldi Station: also on the M2; simply get off at Garibaldi FS, around a 10-minute journey.

Cadorna Station: very convenient, reachable in 5 minutes with the M2. It’s also the main departure point for the Malpensa Express.

Alternatively, tram and bus lines also provide connections to the train stations, though travel times may be slightly longer.

    How to reach Milan’s airports

Thanks to its proximity to the metro and train services, the apartment offers easy access to all three of Milan’s main airports:

    Linate Airport

With the new M4 (blue) line, the connection is direct and extremely fast. Just reach Sant’Ambrogio station and take the M4 to the final stop, Linate Aeroporto. The journey takes about 30 minutes and is the most modern and convenient option for this airport.

    Malpensa Airport

    There are two fast options:

Take the M2 to Cadorna, then board the Malpensa Express, a direct train departing every 30 minutes, with a journey time of around 40–45 minutes.

Alternatively, reach Centrale FS via the M2 and take the Malpensa Express or one of the direct buses from there.

    Orio al Serio Airport (Bergamo)

    From Central Station, easily accessible via the M2, direct buses depart for Orio al Serio every 20–30 minutes. The trip takes approximately 50 minutes.Tickets and InformationATM - +39 800 808 181Trenord - +39 02 7249 4949Orioshuttle - Informazioni sui biglietti - +39 035 319366
