Only 60 minutes from Chicago by car, or 90 minutes from Midway Airport. We had the best week at La Terrazza

My family and I had a wonderful stay. Craig was easy to work with and his communication was the best. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the walk to the beach was so easy (even for my 82 year old mom). I highly recommend La Terrazza to any family looking to enjoy a summer in Michigan (Indiana)!!!

College Family Reunion

Great stay at La Terrazza! We had a large group of 14 adults and 7 children (ages 1 - 5) and it was very comfortable for all. Plenty of space on both first floor and second floor as well. Basement is recently finished with tons of storage space, kitchen and wash area. We did not need to leave the area because the beach is just a short walk away, but the local recommendations for groceries and take out were well appreciated. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

Huge home super close to the beach

It's rare to find a large home that can comfortably accommodate so many different couples and their children, but this one did! Loved the large back patio, two long picnic tables, and fire pit. It was a great place for all to gather and enjoy the weekend!

The best!

We always have the best time staying at this property. The home has just the right balance of together space and private space for large parties (20+ people). It is clean, close to the beach and comes supplied with everything you'll need to create lasting memories for everyone!

The space and location were perfect for a multi-generation family. The owners have provided all the amenities needed for a big family that likes to cook. The back patio and fire pit were the perfect gathering place at the end of the day.

Great family getaway

Our group really enjoyed their time at La Terrazza. This is an older home that has been renovated thoughtfully. The kitchen is not enormous but it is very functional and well-stocked. It was great to have six couples in the house who all had their own bathroom. The best part is the location - a very easy and safe walk to the beach access with mats along the dunes to help get wagons to the beach. We had some issues with appliances being finicky, but the owners were very responsive in helping us get them working. I would definitely recommend this property to any family looking for a Lake Michigan vacation.

Great House for a Family Holiday

Our family of 19 people, ages 5 to 73, enjoyed our stay in Michigan City. The house had everything we needed... lots of plates, flatware and cooking stuff! Plenty of room for us to spend time together and privacy when we needed it. The homeowners were great and responsive. The house was clean and tidy! Will be going there again next year!

Friends to the Dunes

Wonderful visit to the Dunes and Lake Michigan City. The VRBO was perfect for our stay. The owners have put a lot of attention to the details to ensure your stay if a great one. Especially loved the new kitchen and the outside lounge area with the gas fire pit. Just a few short steps to the lake. Will definitely go again and stay.

Family Gathering

This stay BLEW our group away!! We had a larger group with family and friends in town for the weekend and could not have picked a better spot. Great Stay in Michigan City

This house is nice. Craig was very easy to deal with … we had six adult couples that stayed in the house. Each couple had their own room and bathroom … and that still left several empty bedrooms. We hung out at the fire pit on Friday night - the porch area behind the house is a great spot. Also, this place is literally steps from the beach. The house was clean and had plenty of supplies for cooking too. We needed a slow cooker for dinner on Friday night - I texted Craig and within three mins he texted back with the exact location of one in the house. We would come back to the same house for sure - we had a very positive experience.

Good for families

We were very lucky to find a place like this that has so many bedrooms and bathrooms and also close to the beach. Check in/out instructions were very clear and detailed and we knew exactly where and how to find things. House was very clean and organized. Several rooms and bathrooms have been nicely renovated. There were at least one bedroom and bathroom whose locks don’t work and several doors that should be replaced. A few mattresses were squeaky and uncomfortable. But overall we appreciated the care and thought that went into making the house as comfortable as possible for a large group like ours.

Family vacation

From the time we reserved this home and throughout our visit, Craig was very responsive to all of our questions. Our family of 15 (8 adults/7 children-8yrs and under) was able to relax and enjoy each other with plenty of bedroom and bath space for each individual family. The proximity to the beach and the private back patio are bonuses. The kitchen may be small, but it's very well equipped for a large group and the dining space is ample. Should we ever return with a large group to the area, we would definitely want to stay at La Terrazza again.

So close to the beach!

This property was very welcoming. You can tell the owners spent some time and money bringing this old house up to the modern requirements of today. Multiple bathrooms, all newly updated. A hodge-podge room layout that allows you to get as many bodies in as possible, which worked perfect for our group of 22. A beautiful outdoor setting that allows a big group to eat at the same table with a gas fireplace and sting lighting to help the ambiance. Natural gas Webber grill is also available for use. Beautiful updated kitchen with everything a chef would need to make a delicious meal. We had a great time and would recommend this property for any larger group looking to get away for a weekend.

Girls Reunion

High school girls getting together to celebrate our 50's is something we are going to continue. We ad such a lovely time and the house was gorgeous!! WONDERFUL, stunning upgrades had been made since our last visit 2 years ago. Any group will be lucky to book your event here!
