"What a great stay we had at The Cochrane House! Our hosts were accommodating and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We stayed at the Cochrane House after attending a couple of sporting events in Detroit. It was so nice to come back to a place that was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast arrived at our door the following morning. Coffee just as we like it and homemade biscuits. The sisters that own this home are terrific hosts. "Chic and definitely trendy. Loved the decor, the business center was incredible-- private rooms, beautiful lounging area. Full service kitchen with coffee machines. Absolutely perfect for meeting clients and working all day with some closed door privacy as well. The rooms were amazing-- the chilled water in the fridge in jugs vs. single use plastic was much appreciated. "

"I was very impressed all around. Very charming historical location. Classy place. Grotto spa was relaxing. Staff was nice. Very few people around so the hotel had an exclusive feel to it. Not knowing where I was in Detroit when I booked it, everything was walkable for me. Maybe not for everyone but I even walked to and from the arena from my hotel in the cold. Great stay. "

"Even though there was no pool and hottub whicj i perfer the room that i had was a one bedroom with a sofa bed. It was also a check in and out kinda deal. Made me a little nervous but it worked out ok. I had to wait for i got there early. The area because it was next to a 711 store was sketchy so i was glad to at leaste get in the building. The room was wonderful!! I loved it "

"Location was amazing for being in downtown. City parking was legit across the street. But many downtown attractions all are within walking distance. The staff could not have been more courteous. They were amazing. Extremely friendly and suggested a great breakfast spot. Was there for a two night stay and the room was amazing. Would definitely recommend, if you need to be in downtown. "
