My family of 8 enjoyed our stay at the Knotty Pine. The location was great, as you feel secluded but still have modern conveniences nearby, a short 5 minute ride.
The cabin is spacious and set up to allow everyone alone time if needed.
We absolutely LOVED being able to use the pool table, which was a hit with our family the entire weekend.
If you are looking for a modern/minimalist vacation rental, this is not your spot. Many of the properties I’ve stayed at previously gave a hotel like - sterile feel, which you won’t get here. It’s definitely lived in. Meaning, you will feel like you’re staying at someone’s house as opposed to a time-share type experience.
My only other criticism is that things were a bit unorganized (tons of bedding stuffed in all the nooks and crannies of closets), board games were missing pieces or were not fully functional (but we brought our own), pool table pockets were held together with duct tape, no pool cue chalk, etc.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the space immensely
