My three generation family stayed in this lovely home four days while visiting the Sonora area and a portion of our group traveling to the middle fork of American River for white water rafting. The home is well appointed, spacious with ample and comfortable sleeping areas, and an amazing kitchen. Wonderful toys and other child-friendly appointments were well thought out. The grandchildren had a blast! There is not any lawn or really any shaded area for most of the day to allow for playing in the yard, however. A group of all adults may not mind this so much. We had thought ahead, however, and brought a kiddie pool, setting it on the deck, which worked for some outdoor play time in our case.
Since this home is located immediately off CA-108 there is a lot of road noise and heavier traffic pretty much at all hours, at least during the days we stayed. We also experienced, an extreme heat wave and sadly the AC was unable to cool the house sufficiently so we had to leave windows open and purchase a few fans to move the air around. Sleeping was a bit rough between the heat and large truck traffic noise. Under normal temperature conditions it would probably be less problematic.
We had a lovely time and do recommend Seagraves Chalet. There is a lot of wonderful history in the area and this home is very centrally located.
