Come and relax with us and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, away from a small, peaceful village.
You spend your holidays in a soothing rural setting, on the immediate edge of fields and meadows.
However, you can quickly reach famous cities, and you will find shops and restaurants not far from the guest house. In the garden, you can play pétanque and enjoy nature.

We are two Swiss, we speak the dialect, German, French, a little English and a little Italian.

The accommodation
Our house is furnished in a rustic style, with massive country-style furniture and excellent mattresses (that's what all our guests say).
On our plot you will find a lot of space (13,000 m²), a small idyllic pond and a small river at the bottom of the property, as well as great tranquility.
In the saltwater pool, you can cool off after a shower by diving into the hot water.
We're here for you if you need us.
Otherwise, we give you the freedom to do what you want and stay in the background.
We will discuss breakfast when you arrive.
This way we can take your wishes into account. You can pick up fresh baguettes, homemade jam, cheese and ham from us, or we will bring you the baskets – as you prefer.

We have a barbecue at the guest house.
A special model, a cement mixer. You bring the coal yourself.

If you wish, you can grill with us (professional gas barbecue).
If necessary, you can get wine, beer and mineral water from us (for a fee).

The house consists of two parts: one includes 4 guest rooms for up to 8 people, a shared kitchen, a living room and a library.

The other part has 2 bedrooms for 5 people in total, a bathroom, an independent kitchen with a living room. One bedroom has a double bed (160 x 200), the other a bunk bed (2 x 90 x 200, made of solid wood) and a single bed (90 x 200).

The saltwater pool is shared by 13 people in case of full occupancy.

We don't like complicated things.
This is why the price includes many services: parking, tourist tax, swimming pool, cleaning, breakfast, petanque...
We change the towels on request and in case of extended stay.

In order to preserve the environment, we have implemented the following measures:
A small waste sorting system (glass, plastic bottles, cardboard + paper, iron of all kinds, now also biogas waste (municipal regulations) and of course our compost for all green waste.
We help you sort your waste – don't hesitate to ask us, thank you.
The lighting has been converted to LED (we appreciate that you turn it off when you're not using it).
The shower by the saltwater pool is equipped with solar heating.
(Help us keep the pool water clean = always take a shower before swimming).


We cover the petanque court with a tarpaulin when there are no customers, and it is quickly ready to roll the balls.

Guest Access
You can park your vehicle on the gravel area near the house, on the property.

In the apartment (vacation rental), the bedrooms are on the upper floor; the kitchen and the open plan living room open directly onto the garden or terrace.
In the part of the house with the 4 bedrooms, 2 are on the first floor and two upstairs.

Other important information:
It is advisable to have a vehicle to get around our region of Burgundy. You can also come to Mervans by train, we will pick you up and take you there.
