"Everything at the hotel was excellent, it’s a wonderful place to stay and a great base in Lombok. However, Sengiggi has really suffered from a fall in tourism due to natural disasters and a lack of investment as it fell out of fashion. There are a few good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and some useful shops."

"Merumatta is a former flagship resort at Senggigi, and the pool villa club was built 2000. It is very well maintained, and the service is superb. Positioned on the Senggigi beach, it is a great place for relaxing and sunbathing. It is also a great start point for tours to the gilis in north or south, as well as to the Rinjani mountain.
