"Excellent place to stay.Good location for exploring the area. Local walks Hadrians wall etc.We stayed in the Hadrian suite.Very spacious with nice roll top bath.We ate in the bar on burger night. Again Excellent.Staff were friendly especially the breakfast lady.Full of smiles in the morning. Would definitely stay again "

"I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that. My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant. I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?"

"Clean and tidy hotel, very warm welcome at front reception. Lovely to be handed a proper door key rather than a digital keycard. Swimming pool small but clean and warm temperature and the hot tub was delightful. Great access to local pedestrianised shopping area."

"Room was excellent with perfect little touches such as a stocked fridge with milk and water, lovely toiletries in a perfectly clean and modern en-suite. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet, but complimentary earplugs available anyway 👏"

"Excellent accommodation, perfect for exploring the lakes. Just off the A66 with plenty of parking. I stayed 3 nights in the single room. It was warm, cosy and comfortable with a nice en-suite bathroom. Great food with vegetarian and vegan option. Very reasonably priced and friendly and helpful hosts, I would highly recommend. "

"The room was spotless, you can tell it was recently renovated. The amenities were amazing, the beds were super comfortable and we had one of the best sleeps we’ve ever had at a hotel. The breakfast the next day was phenomenal, there is good choice. We went for the vegetarian breakfast and those veggie sausages were top class! Kids also loved the pancakes. All in all a very pleasant stay, the finishing touches on the refurbishment are all high quality, and the food is clearly sourced from the...
