  • Make memories in this cute little cottage located directly in front of the dunes and only a few houses down from the dune entrance. Silver Lake is located in Mears, Michigan and offers shorelines along Lake Michigan and Silver Lake. While vacationing here you won't want to miss out on the experiences that the massive Silver Lake Sand Dunes have to offer. Rent a jeep of your own or head over to Mac Wood's Dune Rides for an adventurous ride on the sand dunes. Nearby is the Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail that will take you along 22.5 miles of scenic routes. The quaint little town of Pentwater is located just north of the Silver Lake area. Pentwater is the epitome of small-town charm with its shops, food, and ice cream. Don't forget to grab breakfast at Cherry Point, where they offer homemade donuts and treats daily. For dinner, spend an evening at Golden Sands, a small, family-owned restaurant and golf course that will leave a lasting impression. Plan on spending a day with your family at Michigan's Adventure for a day of action and excitement. Double JJ is just minutes south in Rothbbury and offers a touch of the Old West with horseback riding, waterpark, miles of trails, and much more. We come every year and usually stay at Sun Retreats campground with family but this year we decided to stay in this house due to bringing our dog. The house is perfectly located next to the ORV entrance and walking distance to the state park. When asking about parking the host responding promptly and answered all questions we had. The kitchen has pots, pans and utensils to cook with. We had a great stay!

We enjoyed staying here! Our family has been coming to Silver Lake for years so we were happy to find a place for us to stay since we have a toddler now. There were plenty of towels and the beds were very comfortable! The location was great, too. It was noisy because it is very close to the ORV access, but we knew this before we booked. The host was so easy to communicate with & the check in/check out process was very simple. Our only “down sides” were that the listing included a grill & there was not one at the property. Also, there were a LOT of spiders & spider webs inside. Overall a good place to stay.

The location is fantastic if you're going to the dunes, which we were. The house was clean and cute. The queen bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable and there was a strong musty smell throughout the house. A broom would have been nice to have so we could sweep the sand during the stay. Towels were well-stocked!

Clean cute little cottage in a great location! The town is pretty quiet this time of year (fall) and not a lot of businesses were open. Would definitely visit and stay again in the spring/summertime!

The cottage was in a great location. We were there to hangout with friends but if your looking to hit the dunes in an orv then your just seconds from the entrance.

Great location and sleeping arrangements, with all the necessities for a week/weekend away. I would definitely stay again if we go back to Silver Lake Sand Dunes.

The house was perfect, from cleanliness to location (maybe 1/4 mile to the ORV entrance of the dunes). We had three adults and a 9 year old, and we all loved this rental.

We have stayed a few times now and love the house. It is a great place for small family and pet friendly.This was the first time staying for more than a long weekend. Only recommendations would be to have cleaning supplies (maybe even a vacuum) available in order to clean sinks bathtub... during a longer stay. We will look to stay again as we still have not bought another camper and come to Silver Lake multiple times a season.

Great place great location

This house was perfect for our our stay. Close to dune entrance and very nicely updated. Only slightly negative was propane grille was quite dirty. Tried to clean it as best as possible and did work out ok.Overall the stay was great we will book again if in the area.

Convenient & Cute

This cottage is very cute and in a convenient location super close to silver lake! It was just right for our small family and our kids loved the bunk beds. The cottage had all the household supplies you could need as well including the propane and an easy to use grill. It was a little loud on the weekends because of proximity to the ORV area but during the week it was much more quiet.
