Make memories in this cute little cottage located directly in front of the dunes and only a few houses down from the dune entrance. Silver Lake is located in Mears, Michigan and offers shorelines along Lake Michigan and Silver Lake. While vacationing here you won't want to miss out on the experiences that the massive Silver Lake Sand Dunes have to offer. Rent a jeep of your own or head over to Mac Wood's Dune Rides for an adventurous ride on the sand dunes. Nearby is the Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail that will take you along 22.5 miles of scenic routes. The quaint little town of Pentwater is located just north of the Silver Lake area. Pentwater is the epitome of small-town charm with its shops, food, and ice cream. Don't forget to grab breakfast at Cherry Point, where they offer homemade donuts and treats daily. For dinner, spend an evening at Golden Sands, a small, family-owned restaurant and golf course that will leave a lasting impression. Plan on spending a day with your family at Michigan's Adventure for a day of action and excitement. Double JJ is just minutes south in Rothbbury and offers a touch of the Old West with horseback riding, waterpark, miles of trails, and much more. Lucky for you, all of this is just minutes away and waiting for your family to create lasting memories.

Clean cute little cottage in a great location! The town is pretty quiet this time of year (fall) and not a lot of businesses were open. Would definitely visit and stay again in the spring/summertime!

We have stayed a few times now and love the house. It is a great place for small family and pet friendly.This was the first time staying for more than a long weekend. Only recommendations would be to have cleaning supplies (maybe even a vacuum) available in order to clean sinks bathtub... during a longer stay. We will look to stay again as we still have not bought another camper and come to Silver Lake multiple times a season.

This was our second year staying in the cottage for our vacation and we were again very satisfied with our stay. The cottage and bedding were clean, the beds are comfortable, and the property was stocked with almost everything we needed (no blender but my salsa verde still turned out good). The property is in a prime location to enjoy the dunes and Silver Lake's activities. I only had one question during our stay and Brooke responded promptly. We will continue to utilize any properties available from this host that meet our scheduling needs.

Cottage is well stocked with kitchen essentials, the grill came in handy for cooking meals. Bathroom towels and bedroom linens were fine. Cottage was comfortable, the only reason for the 4 stars is because no matter how much febreeze or spray I put on the couches, I could not get over the smell of wet dog. If it weren’t for that, it would have been and excellent stay, as the location to the dunes is very convenient.

Convenient & Cute

This cottage is very cute and in a convenient location super close to silver lake! It was just right for our small family and our kids loved the bunk beds. The cottage had all the household supplies you could need as well including the propane and an easy to use grill. It was a little loud on the weekends because of proximity to the ORV area but during the week it was much more quiet.

I have stayed in a ton of vrbos and airbnbs over the years and i would return to this one in a heart beat. Excellent home, location, and price! Its the perfect dune home. Nothing fancy but very clean and well kept. Enough room to park our 28ft enclosed trailer. We sat outside and watched the traffic go by every day. Cant say enough good things about this place.

Great place great location

This house was perfect for our our stay. Close to dune entrance and very nicely updated. Only slightly negative was propane grille was quite dirty. Tried to clean it as best as possible and did work out ok.Overall the stay was great we will book again if in the area.

Perfect location for us

The house was clean, and exactly as described. Perfect location for us right outside the ORV dune entrance. Road out front is busy, but that is to be expected given it's location near the dunes entrance, and we came to this location to ride the dunes anyway, so we didn't mind. My 5 year old loved to watch all the off-road toys drive by when we weren't out riding.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Place was clean, location was great - right down the street from the dune entrance. We couldn’t figure out the tv so I sent a msg to the owner. Fortunately we figured it out, but she responded to the msg quickly.

Perfect little cottage

The cottage was clean and appealing, the kitchen was stocked with necessities, and the location was perfect for our purpose at Silver Lake - to play in the Dunes. The backyard was secluded and the neighbors were very friendly! It was the perfect home awaybfrom home. Definitely recommend!

Cute escape!

It was just my husband and I with our one dog. The place is adorable and was perfect for us. We could have definitely had our teen girls there without a problem! The place is clean and cozy! It was close enough to walk to the lake, dunes and ice cream! We used the fire pit and enjoyed it! The road is pretty busy at the front of the house.

Extended Weekend Stay

Great little house! Clean and tidy. Family of 4. Kids 14 & 18 and everyone fit comfortably. “Twin” bunk bed is more of a “super twin” - no complaints. Could use a small bench/chair in corner of bedrooms/or closets to place bags on, a small lamp in each room, and a few additional hooks to hang bath towels but overall cute! Main bedroom a little musty but the lavender spray that was provided helped. Price and location a plus! Check in/out were a breeze. Communication was awesome - arrived early and were able to get in a few hours ahead of time. Really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!! :)

Excellent location for ORV area!

My husband and two younger children stayed here for 5 nights. We were specifically coming to jeep on the sand dunes and this was the perfect location for us, being SO close to the ORV area. Yes, there is some road noise from the ORV traffic, but honestly didn’t bother us at all, especially if that’s what you’re there for. The driveway area was a great size for us with 2 vehicles/towing. The house is absolutely adorable and the listing and pictures are very accurate. The house had everything we needed, and even though the house is small, it’s what we expected by the pictures and was still perfect size for our family. The beds were comfy and the bunk bed room had enough room for us to also setup our pack and play in it. Not a negative, but just a note for future guests, the bottom bunk is practically on the floor, so some adults might find it challenging to get in and out of that bed and the living room couches also sat low (just what we noticed as taller individuals). Again, not a negative, just something to note! Most of the house was clean, but the floors appeared to be skipped by the house cleaner and it was pretty musty. The rug was covered in hair and dust and the rest of the floors had a substantial amount of sand and dirt on them. I understand not being able to clean all of the sand, but my feet were so dirty just from walking in the house. I contacted the owner and she was incredibly nice and very responsive to this problem. Overall, I would stay again!

Great House in Nice Location

This is a very cute, clean house in a perfect location for a small group of people. My husband and I stayed here with my mother in law and my sister. We took the queen and they slept in the bunkbeds. The queen bed was comfortable. The bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom were really large so a good size for adults to sleep in as well. Everything was very clean and up to date. A few things to consider, this does not have a washer and dryer in the unit so if you're staying for a longer period of time take that into consideration. Neither room has a dresser or anything with drawers, which makes it difficult to unpack for a week vacation. There were hangers, so we hung everything and then used small baskets they had around the house to put non-hanging clothes in. Not sure this would be an ideal place for a stay that's more than a week. Otherwise it was perfect and would absolutely rent again.

Fun Times @ Dunes

Cottage was very cute, small but almost perfect for our needs. The beds could be better. The feather thing was not comfy at all and the 2nd bedroom was difficult for my mother in law to sleep in. One too high and one too low. The couches were not comfy at all. But other than that the location was good but nosey & lots of traffic.
