Guadalupe Lake Lodge features a breezy, 1-acre lot leading right down to our private lakefront. The perfect setting for family reunions, milestone celebrations, corporate retreats, and micro-weddings. Step out of the lodge and enjoy direct water access from our private dock, ideal for lounging under the pecan trees or swinging your feet over the water.

From sunrise to sunset, the Guadalupe River is your playground. Whether you're fishing, swimming, or just relaxing, the water is just steps from the house. We encourage guests to bring their fishing poles (the fish are biting!), water toys, and life jackets. For safety, we strongly recommend everyone wear a life jacket while in or near the water.

The Lake is Back! Beginning Summer of 2026, Lake Placid will once again be open for boating, jet skiing, and wakeboarding. This stretch of the river has long been a premier Texas destination for water sports, offering plenty of space for high-speed adventure or a peaceful sunset cruise.

Adventure is easy here. You can rent kayaks and paddle-boards nearby with delivery right to the property, or bring your own gear. Starting in Summer 2026, the options expand even further with local rentals for jet skis, ski boats, and pontoon boats through our 3rd party partners. For those who want to relax, pontoon boat rides will also be available for a guided tour of the lake.

Convenience for Boat Owners:
* Public Boat Ramp: The Lake Placid Public Boat Ramp is located just five minutes away (reopening Summer 2026).
* Parking: We offer watercraft trailer and overflow parking
* RVs: You are welcome to park an RV in our overflow area with advance permission.

-- POLICIES --
- No smoking inside, no pets allowed. If any of the smoking or pet policies are broken, guests may be fined or asked to vacate without a refund on their booking.
- No events, parties or large gatherings over limit without prior approval. Weddings over 30 people are an additional $850 event fee and must be held outside regardless of weather. You'll be asked to provide a port-o-potty for your guests for septic and accessibility purposes.
- Must be at least 18 years old to book. Photo ID may be required upon check-in
- The property is raised 12 feet and has stairs, therefore it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility though the entire living space is on a single floor.
- The property features exterior security cameras that record sound and video. They do not look into interior spaces.
- Respect the neighbors and their property boundaries at all times. Do not use their dock or ladder to access the water.
- Maintain music and noise to respectable volumes. We have neighbors that live in the area full-time and sound travels easily across the water. Quiet time is 10p.
- Internet speed can be upgraded for work gatherings. Please contact host in advance of your stay for options.
- The Lake Placid public boat ramp is 3.4 miles away, under I-10. Check water levels in advance.

- NOTE: Lake level is controlled by the river authority and weather and thus boat access to dock or general water level cannot be guaranteed. For information on current water levels contact GBRA. As of November of 2021 the Lake Placid dam is damaged and will not be repaired until late 2025. The Lake Lodge was fortunate to retain 8 ft of water and our guests are continuing to enjoy swimming, tubing, and stand-up paddle boarding. Boats are not able to access Lake Placid at this time.
