Perfect weekend getaway

The view of Contact Mountain is breathtaking from the house. All amenities promised were there and then some. Comfortable and cozy bedrooms and living spaces were perfect after a long day out hiking and fishing. Would highly recommend staying at this special hideaway in paradise.

We just spent the week visiting family and friends while exploring the area. The cabin was everything we expected it to be. Relaxing, enjoyable, cozy and up to date with any amenities that you need. We will definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area , as we will probably reserve it again!

Beautiful Mountain Views

The cabin was perfect for our family vacation. 8 adults stayed in the cabin and there was plenty of room. The cabin features large windows that give you a great view of the mountains and wildlife. We enjoyed it so much we choose to stay around the cabin several days of our trip and just relax and enjoy what there was to offer at the house! Would stay again!

My family and I had a GREAT stay here. Out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Would love to come back sometime. Owner was great to work with and communication. If you are looking for a cabin, away from everything, this is the place for you!

Amazing Montana Experience

This cabin is perfect for a family get away. We planned a family vacation with our two children and a friend’s family. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 children and the cabin came equipped with anything you could need or want! It was well stocked with toiletries, cooking utensils, games, and anything else you could think of (coolers for hiking, fly fishing rods, etc).The location is perfect! Far enough removed from the bigger, louder, and busier cities but close enough for any grocery needs. The cabin site itself is beautiful but there is also amazing hiking trails, fly fishing access sites, and Yellowstone park is a perfect day trip. Natural bridge falls is a must and was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will plan to return soon. Thank you for the amazing memories!

Anniversary Trip

My Wife and I, for our anniversary, booked our stay in early September with high expectations and boy did it surpass what we had thought ahead of time. The cabin and accommodations had everything you could ever want or need and then some. With a short a drive away from Big Timber it is perfectly located just off the beaten path to enjoy the mountain feel. There is such a vast variety of activities to do that you can't see them all. I have nothing but great things to say and lasting memories we will definitely be back in the future. Thanks for the AMAZING experience.

Beautiful cabin in the middle of Montana!!! Views from cabin are breathtaking. Neighbors are very nice and helpful. Joe gave great in site on where to Elk Hunt and knows the area very well. Breathtaking views everywhere you turn, if you looking to hunt, fish ,hike or just enjoy a relaxing stay at a cabin. I would highly recommend a stay at the Cabin in the woods !!! Thank you Mike for letting us enjoy your cabin for the week the whole family enjoyed it !!!

Girl Friend Week

I had the wonderful opportunity to stay in this beautiful & very comfortable cabin for one week with some special friends & absolutely loved it! What an amazing place surrounded by so much beauty & peace. And although it was warm, the breeze was constant & comfortable throughout the property. The kitchen had everything you needed including a top notch grill for preparing our yummy meals. The cabin's located in a great little neighborhood right on the Boulder River with kind & attentive neighbors ready to lend a hand when needed & offer advice on fun activities. The hiking was the absolute best ever & we had a great guide by the name of Jodey to assist us. The town of Big Timber is lovely & has everything you might need for your stay plus delicious eateries. I hope to return soon & will definitely want to stay at this mountain hideaway again! Many thanks to the owners of this property!

Great time in Montana

We had 3 couples and had a great time. One of the couples parked their camper on site and all of the hook ups worked great. The cabin was very well equipped for cooking, wi-fi, grilling, sitting outside and especially the bedrooms. The paper products and bathroom supplies were also a nice addition. We loved the views of the mountain and river nearby, and at night the dark sky view of the stars was something we just cannot see at home. The Natural Bridge site near the cabin was a major surprise as it was easily accessible and was just beautiful. We also hiked the Grouse trail by the ranger station and the Trinity Falls trail. We took day trips to Livingston to raft on the Yellowstone River and another day to Yellowstone National Park. It was easier and more convenient to get to them than we were expecting. We are ate at the nearby Roadkill a couple of times and loved it. We also ate at the Grand Hotel in Big Timber and enjoyed it very much. We also had breakfast at the bakery in Big Timber which was very good. The neighbors were very hospitable anbd helpful with advice and guidance. Everything was a great experience and we thank the Lonergan’s for their hospitality.

Beautiful and Cozy Cabin

This was our second year staying at this beautiful mountain cabin, and once again, it did not disappoint! The views are absolutely breathtaking, you truly can’t beat waking up to those mountains every morning. It’s incredibly quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.The cabin itself is so spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out and feel right at home. We also noticed the additional upgrades since our last stay, and they made an already amazing place even better. It’s clear the owners truly care about maintaining and improving the property.We’re already looking forward to coming back again next year. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene mountain getaway!

This is such a beautiful space that our Mississippi family got to stay and experience a white Christmas! Check in and out was simple, the rooms clean, and all essentials available. The cabin was so comfortable for the 6 of us (could easily fit more) and stayed plenty warm while we dreamily watched the snow and mountain from the beautiful wide windows. Our favorite moments we enjoyed was sitting as a family around the kitchen table playing games provided by the owners. Thank you for providing such a wonderful space and cabin for families! We will be back!!!

Main Boulder area Cabin

This property was amazing and met all our needs. We stayed for a week during our Fall hunting trip in the area. The floor plan is very functional, extremely clean & the recent interior remodel was nicely done. It is fully stocked with everything you could need during your stay plus many added amenities in the event you forgot some of your outdoor activity items. Highly recommend this property for your stay.

Stay here if it’s available!

This place will make your trip to Montana worth it. The valley is beautiful, and the cabin was beyond well equipped. We have young kids and the spacious layout worked well for everyone to have their own place to sleep. The firepit in the front yard is a perfect end to the day, with awesome stargazing. Mike answered all of our questions and was very welcoming. Next time we come to Montana we’re staying here again!

Cabin in the Woods

My first time going to Montana and what a beautiful trip! Lots of outdoor activities nearby. Or if shopping is of interest there are unique shops in and around this area. The cabin has all the comforts of home and the mountain views are fabulous. The Boulder River running serenely nearby is a tranquil setting for walking, hiking or just enjoying the beautiful landscape. I will definitely be returning!

The perfect getaway!

A great place to getaway from it all! My buddy and myself came out to this relaxing cabin in the woods for a fly fishing/ hiking trip before his wedding. The cabin was laid out very nice and had everything we needed. The cabin is located close enough to major destinations in the mountains, but far enough away to get away from the noise of it all. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Perfect mountain get away.

Away from the lights of town. Looking up at the stars from the front yard, you will never see a sky any bigger or any brighter. This cabin is the perfect mountain get away nestled in the whispering pines of the bear tooth mountains. Between the hiking, wildlife, and quick access to the Boulder river there is never a shortage of activities. And if you want to just rest, the cozy cabin is loaded full of all the amenities you could ever need. Greatly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning again!
