    Retreat from the hectic pace of modern living with a trip to the peaceful Maryland woods and a stay in this cozy cabin-style home! With amenities like a private hot tub, a game room, and a beautiful wraparound deck, you'll feel relaxed again in no time.

    Hidden away in the trees outside McHenry, MD, this peaceful rental is located just one mile from the ski slopes of Wisp Mountain and the banks of Deep Creek Lake, making this the perfect destination for any time of year. In the summer, cool off with a whitewater rafting trip, or by bass fishing in the lake. In the colder months, grab your skis or your snowboard and head out to enjoy the area's 100 inches of annual snowfall.

    The house is also ideal to simply lay low and enjoy the peace and quiet of western Maryland. Sit out on the wraparound porch and enjoy the vibrant colors of the trees, or sink into the hot tub for an added touch of luxury. Inside, the house has been professionally and comfortably furnished, with a pool table, fully-equipped kitchen, and free WiFi for your convenience. With a total occupancy of 10 people, there's enough space to bring the whole family along - and some friends too!

    Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles.



    Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

    Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Wonderful Vacation

We loved this house! It was beautiful and just right for our group of 6. The location to restaurants, stores, activities, and the lake was ideal. I would highly recommend staying here if you enjoy all the amenities and ideal location that this house has to offer.

excellent home!

perfect cabin for a short 4 night stay with 2 families, 8 people. pool, hot tub, TVs, and just overall cozy ambiance, makes for a great home away from home during a ski trip. highly recommend, and i will only stay here in the future when going to wisp to ski!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We came with two other couples and each of us has our own floor with bedroom and full bath which was great. Enjoyed having pool table and wrap around porch with furniture to enjoy sitting outside. Will definitely stay here if we visit area again.

Recently rented this home to stay for a nearby family wedding in Friendsville, MD. Home was very nice and in a great location. Some minor cleanliness issues upon arrival that have been reported to Vacasa. Very peaceful and quiet, short distance to shopping center and necessities. Enjoyable stay.

The property in question accurately matched the description provided by Vacasa. Its location on the mountain offered a picturesque view of the slopes, while also being conveniently situated near a grocery store, restaurants, and Wisp Resort. The house itself was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, as depicted in the photographs. We anticipate another enjoyable stay at this property next year.

Great Cabin

Plenty of space in the cabin. They had a lot of cute details like their dinner wear. The kitchen was fully equipped and then some! Wi-fi was excellent. We really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The cabin has been well taken care of- including the grounds. We most enjoyed the wrap around porch. It’s really close to groceries and restaurants which was so convenient. I would book this cabin again.

The place was great. We did call about the upper bathroom shower door that was loose from the fringe. We understood someone was coming to take a look yet no one ever came during our stay.

This is our second time booking this property and it didn’t disappoint

The property was equipped with all the essentials and then some . Located in a small wooded neighborhood and close proximity to all that Deep Creek Offers. We even got to see a momma bear and her cub up close wandering through the neighborhood! We had a wonderful week with our grown children and two grandsons! Looking forward to the next trip!!

Best house ever

This house is just beautiful and in a very quiet location surrounded by trees. Our family of our children and grandchildren had plenty of room to spread out for quiet time, but also had a lovely open concept kitchen and living area for games and spending time just being together. The location is such that it is secluded and yet we were only about .2 miles from Perkins pancakes and a grocery store. There was also a Fun Zone that the grandkids enjoyed nearby. Everyone in our family agreed that this was the best house we have rented for our family vacations! Thank you for sharing your comfortable home, We left with some fantastic memories for all!

Great location.

Property was a great location. The cabin was nice but would use some updating with the furniture and decor. It was VERY dusty. Maybe didn’t have any occupancy for awhile, but the dust was almost unbearable. You could actually see the dust flying in the air. Also cob webs in all the corners. The kitchen felt like there was a film on the counters and stove.

Amazing inside and out

This is my first time using Vacasa or any other service like this so I didn’t really know what to expect. Great experience! The house was clean and just what I expected, cozy and cabin like yet spacious. What I didn’t expect was the amazing porch. I had coffee out back every morning and it was my favorite part of the house. This house is big, probably more than we needed for four adults and two kids but it felt great to be able to spread out. Even with all the thousands of properties to explore, I am very tempted to rent this exact house again next year.
