The beautiful view overlooking Lake Hope, the namesake of the 2,983-acre Lake Hope State Park. The park lies entirely within the 26,824-acre Zaleski State Forest. The park provides opportunities for #hiking, swimming, fishing, camping, photography, dining, and general R&R. The park even has a really cool summer program where you can feed hummingbirds from your hand! You hold a vial of sugar water at arm's length and from out of nowhere the hummingbirds start appearing! If you're steady and patient, they'll begin to feed right in front of you!

Hope Lake State Park has a surprising amount of fantastic single track mountain biking! Multiple trails that go for miles through the deep woods, across streams, up and down hills.
This bridge provides vehicle and pedestrian traffic over the 114-mile-long Raccoon Creek as it passes near the Moonville Tunnel. At one time, a railroad trestle carried the tracks over Raccoon Creek. There is a small pull off near this bridge that provides parking at a trail head that leads directly to the Moonville Tunnel/ The Moonville Rail-Trail, a sixteen-mile #hiking trail comprising the abandoned railway inside the Zaleski State Forest. About all that remains of Moonville is an old railroad tunnel. The town sprang up in the late 1800's because of the Marietta and Cincinnati railroad building through the uninhabited forest on its way to Cincinnati. The coal town's population peaked at just over one hundred. The last family left town in 1947. By the 1960s most of the buildings were gone and only the tunnel survives today.

I only gave it a 4 because it would have been amazing to have a little counter top oven and if the couch was more comfortable other than that it was amazing and in a really cool spot

Cute place ! It was interesting with the snow getting there. But, you run into that in December sometimes. Loved the dods and the amazing sunset.
