This 400 y/o villa is in a quaint village, with 2 restaurants and a small corner market nearby. For our family of 12 it was spacious and accommodating. The views of the mediterranean and sunset were stunning.The property manager, Damiano, was excellent at communicating and arranging a variety of services requested by our group (arrival flexibility, boat tour, in-house chef, initial grocery run, etc).The two dinners prepared by Maria and her team were absolutely delicious.

This was my first time using VRBO, and I was a little nervous since I didn’t know what to expect. I had visited the Sorrento area 10 years ago and wanted my family to experience this beautiful part of Italy. With 13 people in our group, I needed a villa large enough to accommodate all of us—and I truly hit the jackpot!The villa is stunning, full of history, and very spacious. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the whole house offered central air. With three levels, the kids felt like they were staying in a castle! The villa is located in the charming village of Schiazzone, about 15–20 minutes from Sorrento.Our host was wonderful, helping us arrange transportation and several day trips, including an unforgettable boat excursion to Capri. Just down the hill from the villa, in the town center, there are two excellent restaurants and a small supermarket conveniently located next to the church. The villagers were so warm and welcoming—we truly felt like part of the community.On our last evening, we were lucky enough to experience a festival behind the church celebrating the patron saint. It was an incredible and authentic experience that made our stay even more memorable.I can’t recommend this villa highly enough—it was everything we hoped for and more!

Vidunderligt rummeligt hus med fantastisk solnedgang

Damiano tog godt imod os. Huset er meget velfungerende til en stor familie som vores. Der er smukt, rent og roligt.Vi nød pool og fælles faciliteterne. Værelserne var super gode. Vi havde et uheld med vand fra vandrør i gaden, værten fik det ordnet samme dag.

We had the most unforgettable multigenerational stay at Lubra Casa Relax with our group of 14, including 6 children — and it truly exceeded all expectations. The property itself is beyond magical. Each room was spacious, comfortable, and offered stunning views, while the outdoor terraces became our favorite gathering spots, perfect for morning coffee, family meals, and evening sunsets.The town is incredibly charming and welcoming, adding even more character to the experience.What truly set this stay apart was Damiano, the host. He went above and beyond in every way — arranging boat days, a private dinner at the villa, a local farm tour, lunch reservations, and seamless transfers for our large group. His attention to detail, communication and genuine care made everything effortless and enjoyable.Our entire group agreed: the time we spent here, and the memories made, were the absolute highlight of our trip. We’re already dreaming about coming back!

Boutique hotel

This property was great for our group of 12. We thought it was a large house from the listing so we were a little surprised when we got there and realized we rented an entire boutique hotel (without the staff of course). Each room has its own key and a key to the front door. Beds were comfortable, most of the ac units worked pretty well, clean bathrooms in each. we did miss having a comfortable family or living room area but the outside patio area worked just fine. The pool is small but we enjoyed it! We rented cars but chose not to drive and were lucky to find an uber/limo driver who arranged 2 vans to drive us to and from the whole time we were there. This place isn't walkable to much, but there’s a few stores and restaurants down the street worth visiting. The hosts Rosa and Damiano were helpful and welcoming. Overall I would recommend this place for a big group, its beautiful views at sunset, ac units and the lovely pool.

A magical stay in a special place

Live, eat, chat with the locals. The kicker?? You get to stay at the most enchanting, historical, perfectly managed villa in the heart of a tiny community. Nestled in Massa Lubrense the ideal retreat to get away from it all, relax, chill and breathe, whilst overlooking a view to end all views! Damiano was 100% in his communication, advice, knowledge and availability. Locally, the shop for coffee and cake, the restaurant run by Franco and his service excellence abound! Loved it from start to finish. Highly recommend!!

Family if thirteen getaway

Property afforded a great family experience in Italy. Views were beautiful and outdoor patio so inviting. The accommodations exceeded expectations for our large group.Damiano was professional, knowledgeable and eager to meet our needs. Neighborhood was quaint and offered wonderful cafes and restaurants. They did not disappoint and provided easy access during our visit for snacks, fabulous pizza and grand dining.Would definitely consider for a return visit.

Unforgettable family vacation

Hidden gem. Cute little town with wonderful pizza making class nearby. And also, we did not get to do the olive oil and lemon farm to table experience but that looks awesome as well. Lubra Casa Relax and Damiano were perfecto. Bedrooms, bathrooms, decks overlooking sea were so plentiful and nice. Cannot say enough about Damiano and the place. Wonderful family experience. Cute little towns all around. 20 minutes to Sorrento and 25 to Positano. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful stay in Massa Lubrense

My extended family of 11, including 5 kids, all stayed at Lubra Casa Relax for a week. It was the perfect base camp to enjoy day trips to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Pompeii while getting away from the busy crowds at the end of the day. Da Francesco and L’antico Scantinato are both great restaurants within 100 meters of the Villa.The Villa itself is well appointed for a large group with plenty of privacy for everyone and great views! Damiano was a wonderful host and communicative throughout. He also helped coordinate an amazing private dinner with chef Maria at the Villa, which I strongly recommend. My family has gone on countless trips throughout Italy and this sits at the top. Thank you, Damiano!

A magical family adventure

We were a large group traveling together in Italy to find our family roots. This villa could not have been more perfect. We hired a chef for one evening, had great meals nearby and grew to love our hosts inSchiazzano Damiano was incredibly responsive during our stay and leading up to it for over a year! Our home away from home

All the other recommendations from renters are very accurate so I will only say this about our stay. My husband and I rented Casa Lubra in Schiazzano for a month in Sept/Oct. From the beginning to the end, we were captured by the beauty, friendliness of the locals, the accessibility of the surrounding “tourist spots”, yet allowing us to fully enjoy the quietness being away from it all. We invited friends and family to rotate through our “villa” during our stay, which allowed us to pass this peacefulness to all of them. Some other points you might be interested in: the owner-Damiano and property manager- Rosa, were there for our every need ie- boat cruises, taxi arrangements, request for cleaning bedrooms between guests, ice maker not working etc. They went above and beyond for us. Getting from Schiazzano to Sorrento, Positano, Nerano, airport, does require a taxi or bus, although we could never figure out the bus system, so plan accordingly. There are some beautiful hikes amongst the villages in Massa Lubrense. There are two small stores in the village is where you will find most everything you need, a larger grocery store is a 15 minute walk to Montecchio. Two excellent restaurants in town using local products, sometimes from their own gardens. A five-minute walk to the olive and lemon tour. The villa is well equipped with washing machine, drying rack, ironing board, microwave, coffee machine, induction stovetop/oven, and dishwasher. I highly recommend Casa Lubra.

Beautiful villa, great location, responsive host

We rented this villa for our family reunion. It is an amazing place. The place is huge. I don't think we could have found anything nicer than this place. The rooms are all air conditioned - except one; big enough for a couple. Some rooms have extra bed/sofa that pulls out. This specially came handy for us, since, one our family members had an accident and fell of an unstable patio chair by the pool. My brother had to sleep on the sofa for her to be comfortable on the bed. Sitting by the pool, watching the sunset, sipping wine, kids swimming in the pool were our activities on a daily basis while there. The kitchen is huge, plenty of dinnerware and pots and pants. The grocery store has limited supply. We drove to near by towns for complete list of groceries. The restaurant in town also has a limited selection. I noticed people raved about the restaurants but to us, it wasn't that exciting. The nearby lemon/olive orchard farm has a nice tour which we took advantage of. Our communication with the host was flawless. He was attentive and helped out with securing a Dr. and a nurse to visit the villa after the accident. The only one thing about the villa is the musty, humid smell in the common area. I believe some cleaning is necessary to get rid of the smell though I can't be sure. The area is very humid so not sure how locals deal with issues such as mold and humidity. A special thanks to Damiano for accommodating us and making our trip memorable.

MAGNIFICENT EXPERIENCE!!!!

My husband & I planned this trip with just 6 weeks notice for 9 adults & 4 kids ages 5-12. Upon booking online, our host Damiano connected with us immediately. He was extremely helpful in booking lunch & dinner reservations, car service for us as well as answering all of our questions we had about our itinerary & stay at his villa. Damiano went above & beyond to make sure we had everything planned to perfection. We can not thank him enough!!! He even helped us book a boat tour throughout Positano & Nerano...highly recommend! Upon arrival at the villa, which we were very excited to see in person based on the beautiful pictures posted online, we met Rosa to check us in. She was so sweet and informative. Our expectations were blown away by the stunning views, gorgeous architecture, cleanliness & spaciousness. Rosa also came to the villa for check out, but otherwise we had all the privacy we needed to enjoy the villa as a group. Rosa & Damiano were available by phone at all times & very responsive. The town is absolutely adorable & so welcoming. Da Francesco, a small restaurant & minimart just a quick minute walk from the villa has exceptional food & service. We were able to take the food to our villa & enjoy dinner while watching the most beautiful sunsets right from the patio & multiple terraces. Our group had one of the most memorable trips here at Casa Lubra Relax! We look forward to visiting again in the future & would recommend this villa to everyone!!!!!!

If you wish to visit Sorrento this villa is too far away. Taxi fares were €80 one way so over the course of 4 days we easily spent over €1000 in taxi fares

Fantastic home

Libra casa relax was a beautiful property with great amenities. The host Damiano provided 5 star service. The location is remote enough to be out of the crowds but is surrounded by local restaurants and grocery stores (all were fantastic). We will visit again.

Perfect!

Lubra Casa Relax was the perfect setting for our Italian getaway! The house was fully stocked for all our needs, and the layout is truly remarkable, giving us spaces for relaxing, reading, chatting and celebrating. Each morning included a walk to espresso and relaxing conversation as we planned our days... and each evening offered stunning sunsets from our patio. Damiano was kind, responsive and incredibly helpful. We highly recommend Lubra Casa Relax! We can't wait to return!

Serene Location and Wonderful Host

The villa itself was truly stunning. Every room was well-equipped and accomodating to our party of seven. Upon stepping outside, we were even more mesmerized by the beauty of the property, providing an excellent view of the coast of Naples. In addition to this, the host was highly attentive, assisting us with trip management and connecting us with car transfer services to explore nearby cities including Sorrento and Capri. From its breathtaking views to its exceptional property manager, Lubra Casa Relax is the ideal getaway in Italy.

Amazing local feel and wonderful space

Gorgeous views and perfectly set up for large groups. Great rooms with a bathroom in each. Great communal hang out areas with industrial kitchen immersed in lovely Schiazzano. 2 great local restaurants with friendly staff. Couldn't ask for a better plae and Damiano and family take care of everything!!

Yoga Retreat at Lubra Casa Relax

The villa itself is gorgeous! Beautiful property with a beautiful view in a cute town out of the hustle and bustle of the busy touristy places. A couple really delicious restaurants just down the street. Damiano was very helpful leading up to the retreat and responsive through text messaging… but it would have been nice to have him or ANYONE stop by to check on us in-person at least once or twice during our stay. I guess I just assumed the villa-host would be around a little more often…. But we never saw anyone. When you have 15 people staying in a house for several days, lots of things come up. We needed more than one roll of toilet paper… we needed hand towels in the shared bathrooms… but there was nobody checking in on those kinds of things which was surprising to me. We needed help with many random things that were a bit frustrating to deal with over messaging {especially with a slight language barrier} and we really would have appreciated an actual person coming to check in on things every once in a while. I understand some groups might like to just be left alone… but we felt like we needed lots of assistance and there was nobody to assist! Except over text messaging which can be very frustrating. But better than nothing! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and this beautiful villa.

Enchanting village, incredible villa!

From the moment we walked in we were completely enchanted with Casa Lubra Relax, everything about it far exceeded our expectations! The bedrooms were roomy, each bedroom had its own bathroom which was much appreciated. The views from every room and balcony were stunning. The pool, patio and dining area overlooking Sorrento and Capri offered us incredible sunset views and a perfect gathering spot for our group. Damiano was very communicative, helping us with recommendations for dinner and transportation. His boat tour of the Amalfi coast was AMAZING, one of the highlights of our trip! We fell in love with the small town of Schiazzano, the people were very welcoming and we loved both of the restaurants and the little coffee shop. We were minutes away from a lemon grove and olive tree farm which offered a tour, tasting and dinner that we loved. The villa is about 20 minutes by taxi to Sorrento, there is a bus available, or you can rent a car if you are comfortable driving the narrow, windy roads. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely consider returning to this magical place! Thank you Damiano!
