The Lodge is a woodland escape sitting on 20 scenic acres of rolling hills, woods, & wetlands. Guests can take in the natural beauty of this property and enjoy watching deer, turkey, waterfowl, and fox. With private lake access with a dock just across the street, guests can experience the Lake like a local. Recreational sports abound: fishing, nearby public land for hunting, swimming, boating, and kayaking - there's even a prairie and woodland bike trail less than 1/4 mile away!

Home set up worked great for space with our family gathering coming from different parts of the states. Could use another refrigerator in the downstairs kitchen with the allowed large group. Some light bulbs out and coffee makers took over an hour to brew 12 cups. The location is perfect for those that need a larger space and want the country. If you want to be near or close to water, would not recommend. The public dock nearby is over grown and rocky. The privacy, cleanliness and space were A!

Great Place

We had a great time again! Third time we have stayed here with our kids and grandkids. Lots of space for all and room outside to play games. Lots to do in clear lake for each day and then back to eat and hang out together. We all loved it and will do it again.

Wonderful stay

We booked over the 4th of July holiday. We had a wonderful time- activities for all ages. The home is big enough that we all could enjoy our space without being on top of each other. Lots of wildlife around to enjoy. Nice area to take a walk or jog. Felt safe

Labor Day Girls

For the past 23 years, us college girls have been getting together every Labor Day… We loved the space in this home for all of us….Everything close by…We rented a pontoon, we played games around the table, we watched wildlife, we walked to Ventura, we had pizza at Other Place Clear Lake, we went to watch a band in Ventura and Clear Lake… we had a great meal at Sevens in Clear Lake….we met up with dear friends in Clear Lake…We ran out of time….There was enough room for all of us and everything we bring….We will be back!!

The Lodge Delight

Visiting Great Grandpa DeBell

We all came from North Dakota with Papa and Nonnie to visit Great Grandpa DeBell. The property is beautiful and gives us a wonderful place to stay all together while we are visiting family in Clear Lake. Lots of space to play indoors and out. Lots of wildlife to enjoy every morning and night.

Family Fall Retreat

What a lovely, well equipped home. So quiet and restful with a short walk to the beach. We made great use of the pool and ping pong tables with a friendly competition complete with nick names. Losers bracket competed in giant Jinga. Evenings featured boards games from the large sectional on the lower level as kids slept above. Such a quiet home.

Great neighborhood

6 bedrooms and plenty of couches to relax or sleep on. Living room has great views of wildlife. We saw many turkeys and deer each day and evening. Also great place to view the stars at night.

Love staying at the Lodge

Our family of 11 adults enjoy staying at the Lodge. Plenty of room and beds for all. The parking is a plus for us. Three classic cars for the Cruise around the Lake, plus a truck with a boat and several cars for everyone to come. We really enjoy the space and watching the deer and turkeys is fun. Its very clean with everything you made need. This was our second stay there and coming back next year. Judy R.

Beautiful

Beautiful house and property! Very clean and lots of room for us all! We all enjoyed seeing the deer and wild turkeys and walking the trails in the woods. We also enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table and played a family softball game in the backyard! Grilled and cooked meals and it is very well stocked. We will come back! We all had a great time from age 7-68 years old!

Amazing!!

Our time at The Lodge Home made our Family Reunion at Clear Lake even more fun! The house is super clean, beautiful, spacious, and the host great to work with. We enjoyed the pool and ping pong tables in the downstairs - it's like a separate home downstairs!! The beds were very comfortable. We loved sitting in the front room and going out on the deck to watch the deer. We are appreciative for our wonderful stay and would stay there again if we are back in Clear Lake.

Winter Dance Party

This was out second year at this location. There were twelve of us all over the age of 57 and we enjoyed it very much. Plan on booking for next year also. It is so relaxing and wildlife right out the windows to watch.

Family Christmas

Our family loved the size of the house and it was very clean. The scenery was wonderful. We loved seeing deer and turkey every day. there are really only 5 bedrooms, the 6th is a room in the basement with no windows. We were ok with that but others should know incase they aren't. and the place needed some minor maintenance including a new grill and wish the fireplace would have worked but still a place we may stay again.
