    The Space:

    Located in the heart of New Seabury, this 2BR/1.5BA cottage keeps you close to the area’s best attractions. Spend your days playing in the waves and lounging in the sun at the private beach, a 2-minute walk from home. In the evenings, take a stroll to the local marketplace to keep the fun going with live music, mini-golf, and ice cream. Highlights include a modern kitchen, private patio, and peekaboo ocean views from the primary bedroom. The inviting living area offers comfortable furnishings. Equipped with cable and a DVD player, the 32” flat-screen TV makes this the perfect space to enjoy a movie night. A convenient office nook includes a printer. Stainless steel appliances and black marble countertops contrast stylishly with white wooden cabinets in the well-appointed, modern kitchen. Put your favorite music on the stereo, relax, and prepare delicious meals. Then, gather around the dining table. This two-story home sleeps four guests between two bedrooms. Rest soundly in the second-floor primary bedroom, which features a full-size bed and flat-screen TV with cable. Step out to the private balcony to sip coffee and enjoy the partial ocean views. In the second bedroom, you’ll find two twin-size beds and another private balcony. Between the two bedrooms, the guest bathroom includes a tub/shower combination. A convenient half bath is located on the first floor. Host a barbecue on the patio, surrounded by a white picket fence. You'll find a gas grill, a table for alfresco dining, and Adirondack chairs. Guest amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, and beach gear and toys. Spend sun-kissed days at the private beach, less than 200 yards from your home! You’ll also be a pleasant half-mile stroll from the New Seabury Marketplace, which includes an array of restaurants, an ice cream shop, general store, pizza shop, mini golf, and fantastic local boutiques. Time your visit right and check out the free live music and family dances at the marketplace (which take place on weekend evenings in season). You’ll find upscale shopping at world-renowned Mashpee Commons -- a 10-minute drive away. For a fun day trip, take a ferry across the sound to explore Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. This rental is not equipped with air-conditioning.

The cottage gets a 5 out of 5. It was clean, well appointed, as pictured, and it was a delightful stay. Having said that, I would be very hard pressed to rent another home through Vue Stay Vacations by Casago for the following reason. I had a simple question the week before our stay that I submitted by text as was requested by 'the host'. What ensued was a ridiculous, time consuming, frustrating text exchange over several days without yielding an adequate answer. My question was a clarifying one because in the VRBO description, there was a contradiction. It listed air-conditioning under 'popular amenities' but at the end of the lengthy narrative description, it stated 'this rental is not equipped with air conditioning'. I sent my inquiry for clarification. What ensued was days of (what I finally came to understand) auto/AI text responses - several which arrived in the middle of the night - 3 and 4 AM. None of the dozen responses answered the simplest of questions...IS there air conditioning or not? Only when I finally pressed the 'person' who was texting about an answer and requested phone contact, did I realize I wasn't communicating with a person at all. I finally called and got an agent on the phone who also could not answer the question. I was told that she 'couldn't reach' the 'local team'. The lack of communication, professionalism and transparency are the sole reasons for the bad review. It was incredibly frustrating.And...it does have air conditioning...
