  • Relax with the whole family at this serene mountain cabin in Mars Hill, NC. Unwind after a day of skiing or hiking by taking in the peaceful views from the hot tub. Enjoy amazing stargazing at night. Lovely deck with grill, dining area and fire pit. Located in the beautiful Wolf Laurel Resort with private access to Big Bald trailhead. Hatley Pointe Ski Resort is a located within our gated community!

    Serenity Now cabin offers 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen and a kitchenette in lower level.

    Enjoy the amenities the Wolf Laurel Resort has to offer; tennis courts, pickleball, heated pool (seasonal), basketball court, playground, nature trails, numerous creeks, community clubhouse which includes a library, enjoy use of the pavilion and hike the nature trails. The Wolf Laurel Community’s elevation ranges from 3800 to over 5000 feet above sea level. The resort is mostly surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest, with 3 entrances to the Appalachian trail.
    Wolf Laurel is home to Hatley Pointe Ski Resort, offering beginner to expert slopes. * The Ski Resort typically opens for the season the first week of December and closes mid March.

    *Things to note

    Due to the high elevation, temperatures are much cooler on the mountain and typically the ceiling fans throughout the house, box fans, and windows open keep guests comfortable. But please be aware there is no A/C at the cabin.
    We are in the mountains, some cell phone providers do not get the best service. Activating Wi-Fi enable calling is recommended.
    4 wheel drive is strongly recommended in occasional snowy conditions.
    Unfortunately motorcycles are not permitted in the Wolf Laurel community.

We had an excellent time with the cabin as our home base. We explored western NC and did many waterfall hikes, The Biltmore, and had dinner at Omni Grove Inn! Our family of 7 was comfortable and loved. Coming home to our cabin snuggled in the hill after a day of exploring. Thank you!!!

We had a great stay. Our only issue was driving up to the cabin and parking our 12 passenger van. We could not make the turn into the drive if we came from the shorter route and there is not much room on the gravel road if you come across another vehicle.

Cabin was really clean and kitchen had everything you need. Very spacious. Internet was much better than I anticipated. My two teenagers were busy playing on the Street Fighter 2 arcade, playing darts and going to the tennis courts. Hot tub was working well, clean and in good shape, Overall we all enjoyed our time there.

This home was exactly what we were hoping for! Plenty of space for our family. Beautiful deck to sit and experience nature. It was definitely in the mountains which is what we wanted. Fully stocked kitchen and the hosts were very helpful!

This property was great! The only issues we had was the light on the stairs was out, and the shower in the bathroom upstairs was not functioning properly. Also, we could not lock the front door when we left. All small issues that did not affect our stay! I would recommend some printed directions on how to get to the west gate. Service is spotty on this mountain and one wrong turn could leave you lost on back mountain roads for good while until you find service again.

Very clean and spacious. Loved the fire pit and hot tub. Host’s were very responsive. The view from the porch is nice! We went to smoke timber for dinner, a bit pricey, but the food alone was worth it. The lodge is beautiful to hang out at and enjoy a cocktail.

Excellent cabin in the mountains

Fantastic cabin with everything we needed for both the kids and grown ups. The hot tub overlooking the mountains was the highlight. Great property all around!

Awesome Mountain Cabin

Booked this place for a family wedding. It was large and spacious and well kept. Hot tub was a treat and deck had the most beautiful view of the mountains. Host was very communicative!

Host was quick with responses and property was beautiful! Only issue was the upstairs shower leaked through the ceiling into the living room downstairs and the TV in the living room was stuck on the home screen and we weren't able to use it. Was not at the property long enough to miss it however!

Cute and cozy

The location of this home was perfect for our family ski trip! We really enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset from the hot tub and playing the awesome games. Thanks for everything!

What a great place for a gal's vacation. Enjoyed the hot tub after all the walking in Asheville. The morning coffee by the outdoor fire. We would of had great sunrises and sunsets views from the deck but alas our week was rainy and overcast. After being out all day the cabin felt so homey. Highly recommend

Serenity Now stay

Great experience! Wolf Laurel had great hiking trails within the resort and close location to zip lining and horseback riding. The house was clean and had a beautiful view! The owners were very helpful!

Perfect Family Cabin!

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! The back porch offering amazing views of the woods. The place was clean, cozy, well-organized, and stocked with fun family games. The owners were incredibly responsive to any questions and requests that I had. I would certainly stay there again.

Great get away weekend in the mountains!

We had a great extended weekend in this cabin. Exceptionally clean! Basic supplies provided. Great location to access Appalachian Trail and day trips to multiple mountain towns, Asheville and Johnson City. Highly recommend!

Family Weekend

Cabin was exactly what I was looking for to spend a long weekend with my family. We had plenty of space, it was very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. Between the hot tub and fire pit we spent a lot of family time on the porch. Communication with the host could not have been any better. It was a great time and we definitely hope to go back again.

Beautiful mountain get away

We had an amazing family get away. The house worked out great for us as Grandparents. We had plenty of space and privacy with two couples and five kids with us. The weather was rainy and chilly but that didn't keep everyone out of the hot tub with that gorgeous view. Thank you Kori and Mike for your hospitality! We will definitely be back.

Mountain solitude with breathtaking views!

This property truly delivered! We felt as if we were on our own private mountain but not isolated. From coffee on the porch to relaxing in the hot tub, we soaked in the views. Our late-teen/early 20s children had plenty of space to spread out and enjoyed the community pool on the days we didn't venture into Asheville or hike the nearby trails. Hosts thought of everything!

Celebrate and relax

We booked this cabin to celebrate my husbands and my sons birthdays. You never know what to expect but we were very happy with everything. There were 6 adults and 2 dogs and we had more than enough room. Cabin was clean and well stocked. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub a lot after a day out. Kori was very good about getting back to me when I had a question. Overall we would definitely come back!!
