    Ubicación: Highland House Vacation Rental se encuentra a aproximadamente 30 minutos en coche de la entrada principal al Parque Nacional de Yosemite y a 11 km de la ciudad de Mariposa, la fiebre del oro. La cabaña se encuentra a pocos pasos de una pequeña tienda rural y al otro lado de la calle desde la parada de autobús que lleva a los viajeros hacia y desde Yosemite. La elevación es de 2.500 pies en pinos y en un arroyo estacional con vida salvaje y una variedad de aves.

    Historia: La cabaña fue el hogar de Newell Chamberlain, fundador de la ciudad de Midpines. Publicó artículos y The Call of Gold- True Tales on the Gold Road to Yosemite, un libro sobre la extracción de oro en el área durante la década de 1930.

    Alojamiento: La cabina está equipada con una cocina, que incluye horno, anafe, microondas, fregadero doble, refrigerador, ollas, sartenes, utensilios, tetera, cafetera, tostadora y mucho más. Hay una lavadora y secadora en el lavadero. La sala de estar tiene un comedor con vista al bosque y una sala de estar con una hermosa vista de Bear Creek y el bosque circundante. Se proporciona conexión a internet y Wi-Fi.

    Arreglos para dormir: La cabina tiene dos dormitorios en la planta baja y un dormitorio y un altillo en la planta superior. En la planta baja, hay dos baños completos. El dormitorio 1 tiene una cama queen y una amplia sala de estar, el dormitorio 2 tiene una cama matrimonial y baño privado. 3 dormitorios tiene una cama queen y el loft tiene dos camas individuales.     Se proporciona ropa de cama y papel junto con detergente para la ropa, jabón y champú. En la cocina, encontrará azúcar, harina, café, té, aceite, algunas especias, detergente para platos, toallas de papel, etc.

    Restaurantes y tiendas locales: varios restaurantes muy buenos se encuentran a siete millas. Una tienda de campo está a poca distancia. Pioneer Market, una tienda de comestibles de servicio completo, se encuentra en Mariposa (7 millas).

Wonderful cabin with everything we needed for our stay. Easy drive into Yosemite or bis right across the street. Very comfortable, plenty of room made for a relaxing stay. Responsive host.

Very cozy and clean house. Beds were very comfortable . We all slept well. The bedding and towels were a nice quality and very clean. We only used the toaster, microwave and Keurig, but the kitchen is well equipped to cook. Michael is very responsive to all questions and concerns. Great location for Yosemite. Would stay there again but would add a few more days.

Kitchen is clean and well equipped for cooking. The open patio is perfect for star gazing. Also property is next to a creek.We only wish that the backyard was trimmed enough to hang out at the back. Otherwise, it was a perfect weekend getaway for my family.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin! It was spacious and comfortably accommodated all seven of us. The peaceful setting and beautiful views made it easy to relax, and we especially enjoyed watching and listening to the hawks and downy woodpeckers in the pine trees. We also loved picking fresh blackberries on the property to enjoy with our breakfast each morning. I don't think I have ever seen such a large patch of blackberries before! The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure. While the furnishings have a vintage, eclectic feel, everything was comfortable and met our needs. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it!

Cozy cabin, just 30 minutes from Yosemite

The cabin exceeds the photos online. Cozy, comfortable, and we’ll stocked kitchen. Linens were soft and plentiful, great place for a family with plenty of beds for everyone! We would have loved to stay longer.

Great place for the family

Ideal location when visiting the Midpines/Mariposa area. The creek side location was beautiful. There was outside seating and dining areas, which were perfect in the mornings and at night. The internet worked well.

This was a great stay for our family of 6! We got the YARTS bus passes to get us into Yosemite, and the YARTS bus stop was RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from this rental! GREAT! There is also a great little old-town of Midpines, just 8 minutes away to walk around and enjoy to local culture!

Festive stay at Christmas!

We appreciate the effort the owner went to decorate the house for Christmas. It was cheery and festive, with a lit Christmas tree, holiday treats, and lots of cute decorations. The park, of course, was amazing. It was nice to come back to such a cozy cabin.

Hiking Yosemite

Very nice place to stay with lots of room. Loved the laundry availability and having two bathrooms. Owner was very communicative. Close to the town of Mariposa for places to eat and shop for groceries. My only suggestion: a fan for the master bedroom.

Wonderful Cabin!

My elderly uncles stayed here for 10 days and had a great time! They "forgot" to check out on the designated date and the hosts were wonderful about accommodating them and making sure they got to their next destination. They loved the roomy, clean and cozy cabin which was well located for their Yosemite adventures. This cabin made all the difference in how they enjoyed the park. It was world's apart from staying in a hotel room.
