"We were first checked into a room that had not been cleaned. The next room that we were offered looked to have been cleaned until we checked the stool and found feces still in it. We thought the third room would be good, but found black hairs and toothpaste in the sink. By this time, we were so tired, I just cleaned the sink myself. Housekeeping at this hotel is not their strong suit."

"Great stay for our weekend trip. The entrance to the parking lot was odd. The hotel room was immaculate. The staff was super nice. We really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.
Breakfast was okay. The waffles were the best part. We didn’t use the pool or even go in the pool area so I can’t comment on that.
Don’t recommend using the vending machine either. It gave me a drink that expired 5 months prior."

"There was a man picking cigarette buts out of the ash tray as we entered. We hurried past him.
As you entered the building, it smelled of strong disinfectant . Not pleasant .
The first room had mold on the curtains and the whole room smelled moldy. At the front desk, they at first couldn’t find our registration, she had it under the wrong room. She did move us to another room.
The room they moved us to smelled like cigarette smoke, but at least it wasn’t moldy. There were multiple areas...

"We booked this hotel, even though it was more expensive than the Hampton Inn, largely because of its emphasis on a “really great breakfast.” Breakfast is important to us, so we thought the higher rate might be worth it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. First, there weren’t even tea bags in the room, so if hot tea is your favorite morning beverage, you have to get dressed and head downstairs before you can have your first cup. The breakfast itself was no better than what we’ve experienced at Hampton...

"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead.
The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use.
They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....
