  • Situado en una calle tranquila en el Bosque Nacional Pisgah, Railway Rest está a minutos de la I-40, del centro Old Fort y de Black Mountain. Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Chimney Rock y Biltmore House están a poca distancia en coche. Camine y ande en bicicleta por los senderos del Bosque Nacional Pisgah, pesque truchas en el cercano Mill Creek. Observe los pavos salvajes o un tren que se dirige a la montaña.     Cómo moverse

    Se necesita su vehículo personal o en bicicleta para los viajes hacia y desde la ciudad, o posiblemente a Cerro Negro para el ciclista más aventurero - pensar en Point Lookout Trail! El servicio de taxi está disponible en Marion. El aeropuerto más cercano es Asheville Regional, aproximadamente 45 minutos. Greenville / Spartanburg o Charlotte son suplentes y son aproximadamente de 1. 5 a 2 horas de distancia, respectivamente.

Perfect location. House was very clean and kitchen was well stocked. Loved the fresh eggs and banana bread we had for breakfast. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Would definitely stay again.

We were in Old Fort for the night and this was a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The coffee, banana bread, and eggs were much appreciated!

Charming home and owners! The amenities were numerous and the accommodations were great! Everything we needed for a great long weekend. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds slept so well!

Very friendly, easy to reach property owners

We had a great stay, and were welcomed by homemade bread, fresh butter and eggs. It was just the size home need needed as our home away from home, and everything was well cared for in the home!

Railway respite

This was our second time staying at Railway Rest. It's a peaceful, clean, quiet getaway only a short distance from Old Fort. Margaret and David are fabulous hosts and made us feel so welcome. Very enjoyable stay!

Railway Rest is perfect! Great location for biking, hiking, and relaxing. David and Margaret go out of their way with great communication and a comfortable, clean, and well stocked home.

Perfect little place

My friend and I ran a 50mile race that started and ended at Camp Grier and this little house was perfect! Quiet and cozy and cute as can be!

Very clean! Loved the banana bread & eggs! Perfect for us as we were in town for a wedding. Had everything we needed. Liked that location was in the valley and we did not need to go up the mountain to get there.

Relaxing Stay at Railroad Rest

This house was just what we needed for our mountain getaway. It was close enough to each of the places we wished to visit such as Grandfather Mountain and Mount Mitchell, as well as numerous waterfalls. Also enjoyed the restaurants that were recommended like the Blue Ridge Biscuit Company, Hillman Beer, and cinnamon rolls from Gogo’s. Would definitely stay here again.

Birthday Get Away

Really enjoyed our relaxing stay at Railway Rest. House was cozy and clean. The hosts left us farm fresh eggs and baked apple bread. Wish we were staying longer than a weekend. Definitely hope to stay there again! Highly recommended!
