Easily the worst “luxury” resort experience I’ve ever had. Zoëtry Marigot Bay should be embarrassed to operate under that label. From start to finish, the stay was defined by frustration, incompetence, and apathy.
Customer service was forgetful, disengaged, and visibly miserable. Requests were “noted” and then ignored, follow-ups went unanswered, and promises were routinely broken. Communication between departments was horrendous, creating constant confusion. For a resort charging premium prices, this level of dysfunction is unacceptable.
At times it genuinely felt like staff hated their jobs and made that everyone else’s problem. There was no warmth or hospitality—just indifference and robotic responses. Based on operational standards alone, this place should not be running as-is.
Room service was particularly alarming. Staff entered the room without knocking, a shocking violation of privacy and basic hotel etiquette, paired with a careless, nonchalant attitude.
The only saving grace was the Food & Beverage team. The chefs and F&B managers were professional, attentive, and competent, and the food was excellent. They were the only people who seemed to understand what hospitality actually means.
Zoëtry Marigot Bay is a textbook case of overpromising and catastrophically underdelivering. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
