Orrasis dry tent site, PONDER

Get away from the city, enjoy tent camping, under the stars, in a safe environment. Shady sites in the trees with a fire ring and picnic table at the sites. Limited campers allowed, and camping sites are about 100ft apart. The lake is only 1.5mi away at Shaffer Bend Recreation Area where there are hiking trails and access for fishing, kayaking, swimming. This is an LCRA park area which charges a day fee. Camping is primitive without electricity. There is a camp bathhouse with hot water, shower and composting toilet. There is no driving in the campsite area, parking is nearby and a cart is available for hauling your stuff.

The space
There is a picnic table and firepit at this site. A trash can is at the site, PLEASE dump your trash at the end of your stay. There is a dumpster outside the property gate 2 on the road side.

Guest access
We have 6.5 acres so there is plenty of space to roam around. Please be respectful of other guests that may be on the property. There is No driving in the camping area due to safety issues. Parking is at the front of the property and there are carts for you to haul your stuff.

Other things to note
There is not parking next to your tent site, as there are no roads in that area. You will have to carry your stuff to your site, or use our wagon to pull it from the parking lot.
