Safari for the Soul and the tent Moonlight Magic is a modern eclectic Indonesian inspired waterfront yurt, a "one of a kind Hill Country bucket list experience" for couples and adults to "Recharge and Reconnect." Wake up to amazing lake views and enjoy 6-acres. Private, AC/Heat and DOG FRIENDLY!

You won't believe your eyes when you walk into our gorgeous African Safari Tent (with ac) and see the romantic peaceful space we've created. This is nature immersion at its finest - made for those who enjoy the outdoors, but aren't into roughing it!
About this space:

During the summer months, most of our guest spend time swimming/kayaking on a finger of Colorado River with Hill Country views (prop a beach chair up on the nearby sand bar or just enjoy your private firepit/hot tub and the lakefront views.

We offer two complementary shared kayaks.

Moonlight Magic is one of three tents on the property that is a 400 sq. ft. heavy canvas yurt/safari tent:

- Studio-style with luxurious king bed, living lounge and dining area inside the tent
- Mini-split unit that provides both A/C and heat to keep you comfortable in any weather (even in hot or extreme cold weather)
-Floor Fan
- Private Spacious partially open outside shower (with hot water)
-Full length mirror, custom wine barrel sink in bathroom and toilet on septic
-Hair Dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap provided
- Small mini fridge with freezer
- Keurig coffee maker
-Wine glasses, Dishes, & Utensils
- Complimentary coffee pods/creamer/sugar
- Huge deck with comfortable outdoor patio chairs
-Personal and very private outdoor 3-person hot tub (cool or hot)w/ optional outdoor curtains for privacy
-Direct access to swim or kayak in the Colorado river (please note the pool is not heated, but it is something we are working on!)
- Bluetooth-enabled speakers
-Alexa speaker for mood music and real candles
- Romantic laser lights inside the tent
- Electrical outlets with USB ports for charging
-Propane grill w/propane for grilling and side burner
- Wood Firepit for your enjoyment or making smores/bring firewoos
-Access to the over 100-acre hiking/biking/horse trails at the next door Shaffer Bend Park.

Special Occasions: Charcuterie Board and wine available upon request for additional fee. Host can also help arrange in tent massage from local vendors.

Pet Friendly: Unlike many places, we love dogs! $50.00 total pet fee for small to medium breed dogs. Large dogs are subject to approval so please let the host know if you plan to bring a dog. Your dog must be people and dog friendly.

Note: If you are traveling in a group or as couples we also offer a second glamping tent next to this tent as positioned in the pictures. Both are very strategically positioned to offer privacy while having direct views of the lake from either patio.

Hidden Falls Adventure Park- 2 min (1.8 mi)

Numinous Coffee Roasters-best local coffee shop about 7 min from us.

Lake LBJ- 29 min (18.8 mi)

We are located 10 miles from the city limits of Marble Falls, approx 25 min from Lago Vista, 40-minutes from Cedar Park, and 1:10 min from downtown Austin. The closest landmark is the Smithwick Market located right next door to our private gated entrance.

On food:

The most convenient option is to use our propane grill with complementary propane. For the true campers, cooking over a campfire is a fun part of the camping experience, so you’ll have your own personal fire pit with a grill top right outside your tent. You will need to buy firewood & fire starter to help get you off to the right start!

A few tips for the grill-inclined:
- Think classic: burgers, sausages, steaks, kebabs, etc.
- Disposable metal pans seem to work best
- Nearest grocers are H-E-B in Marble Falls (supermarket, 15 min) and Smithwick Market to the right outside the main entrance gate (local, 5 min)

You'll have a small fridge and freezer as well. If you aren’t planning on grilling, alternate food options are 10 minutes away in Marble Falls and so we recommend planning ahead for groceries /ice and restaurant dining/take out.

Onsite Activities:
- Watching the Sunset over the Colorado River
- Swimming in the Lake/aka Colorado River that's a part of Lake Travis
- Go kayaking on the lake and look at the hill country views large hawks
- Go fishing and catch some large catfish, gar, perch or bass
- Self-guided yoga on the elevated deck/yoga mats provided
- Campfire chats: s’mores recommended, listening to music
- Picnic under the trees or on the river bank with a blanket
- Hang out at night in the hot tub looking at the stars
- Listen to the coyotes howl in the fall
- Go jeeping or ride an ATV at Hidden Falls only 10min away
- Read a book or take a nap in the hammock
