Spacious 3BR Stay Shared Pool - Perfect for families.

This property borders the beautiful Gage Gardens. The master bedroom is downstairs with a private bathroom, whirlpool tub and a large walk in closet. This property has a beautiful living area open to a full kitchen, fully stocked, with granite countertops, and a full laundry room with a washer and dryer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom, and a sitting area. Outside the back door you will find an outside sitting area with a propane grill. The front door opens up to a beautiful pool and hot tub, shared with the main house(The Grand Oasis). This property is within walking distance to the main strip where you will find plenty of small shops, the V-6 coffee shop, The Brick Vault(our town’s barbecue and brewery), art shops and The Historic Gage Hotel and Restaurant. Big Bend National Park is less than an hour away. The unique town and National Park offers activities for the whole family.

Best property ever rented

I'll just say this has been the best property I've ever rented. I rented this property for myself and a few crew members while we were working on a film here in Marathon. Ryan was the kindest most helpful host I've ever known. While here for 2 months he was generous, informative, responsive and always doing what he could to make us feel comfortable in our home away from home. Wonderful property run and managed by wonderful humans.

Big Bend getaway

This property exceeded our expectations! It was very spacious, with large bedrooms, a large living room, a laundry room and tons of outdoor space. It was very quiet. It is close to the shops in Marathon. You can see the beautiful night sky from the patio. We had no issues with check in or check out. Highly recommend.

I booked this property for my wife, son, and parents in law, they had an absolutely wonderful stay. The back patio and pool area were amazing! Spent most of their time back there after hiking in Big Bend. Will be back 100%

Great family house

We had a small family trip to Big Bend. It was a bit of a drive to Big Bend but it was the best option for us. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day full of hikes.

Marathon / Big Bend

This was my first VRBO experience, it was very positive. I texted the owner on several occasions; I was impressed her response was always immediate. The property was as the photos depict. The home was well-appointed, clean, spacious, quiet, everything worked. Plenty of parking. Located near the main street in Marathon. Beautiful swimming pool/hot tub. I can't think of anything that disappointed.

Big Bend Family Trip

We had a large family group, and this property accommodated us perfectly. This is a very comfortable and clean location. The kitchen is well equipped, and we appreciated the carports that protected us the morning it rained. Communication is very easy. I would stay here again. Big Bend Panther Junction station is 1 hour 10 minutes away.

Perfect Vacation Home

The house was exactly as pictured. It was very clean, fully stocked, and the beds were super comfortable. We were close enough to Big Bend and Marfa. Would definitely recommend this cute house and plan to be back.

French House is Fun Times

The map and entry code made it extremely easy to locate and enter the property. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our weekend in Marathon. We attended a wedding at the Gage Gardens and loved the close proximity. We couldn’t find a property entrance to get to the Garden walk path behind property garages but it is also very easy to get to in a car. The house is well stocked and the roses around the large pool are beautiful and fragrant. We will be back!- Lori Tips

Good option for Big Bend

House is very spacious and comfortable? and kitchen is well stocked. Very good location for Big Bend. Note that most restaurants, besides the Gage hotel where you need a reservation, are closed Sunday thru wed or Thurs.

Marathon Surprise

This place was great. I was shocked how big it was, especially for the price. It was a little too chili to enjoy the pool, but this place is a perfect set up for a larger group during the warmer parts of the year. The courtyard/pool area was a great place to hang out in the cool air and tell funny stories that we’re 40%-60% based in truth.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Plenty of space for our family of 6. The pool area is gorgeous and the pool is huge. The kitchen is stocked well. Plenty of towels for pool and baths. Lots of tv channels and good WiFi.

Perfect Big Bend Lodging!

When we started planning our Big Bend trip, we looked at staying in at the park lodge (booked full!) and Marfa and Alpine (both are some distance away). We stumbled upon this rental in Marathon, and it turned out to be ideal in every way! The owners were gracious and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. The property is big, and while you share the courtyard with the owners, everything is totally private. There were four people in our party, and there was more than enough room for all of us to spread out. The space is meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, and the beds and linens are super comfy. Everything we could possibly need was provided. There was a big fridge for our groceries -- we packed our lunches every day to eat in the park. The showers are hot with great water pressure! You are about a 45 minute (beautiful!) drive to Big Bend National Park, and we ate dinner every night in town -- the White Buffalo, the 12 Gage Restaurant, Brick Vault BBQ and Big Bend Pizza. All are excellent! If you forget any supplies, just run into the French Market or the gas station. Our only regret was that we hiked our legs off every day and collapsed every night in exhaustion, which meant we only got to make use of the awesome hot tub one night out of four! Thank you, thank you to the owners for making this great property available. We are already looking forward to returning!

Spring Break 2019

This home exceeded our expectations. It was more than enough room for my family of 4. The master suite on the first floor was exactly the private area I needed for this vacation. My nieces loved the pool and tried to spend as much time as possible there, they especially loved the hot tub. We had plans to visit Big Bend, Marfa, and the McDonald Observatory and this home was perfectly situated in between all of these giving us quick and easy access. The house had everything we needed for our vacation. The kitchen was well stocked, there were really nice towels for the bathrooms and separate towels for the outside pool area. All questions I asked were immediately answered and one of the owners stopped by to see us on our way out and gave us some water and snacks for the road. I plan to stay here the next time I make a trip out to west Texas and I plan to recommend this place to my friends.
