We arrived to the hotel early evening and was hoping for some downtime in the restaurant/ bar. None of the tables were clean and to boot the bar was pretty much out of every wine selection on the menu, to include the beer as well. My husband and I wanted to purchase a bottle to celebrate but there were no whites to purchase. To boot when we finally found a wine bottle with enough wine to fill 2 glasses NONE of the wine glasses were clean. The staff pointed to 2 dirty wine glasses and said that all they could offer us was a champagne glass in lieu of a traditional wine glass.
How is a hotel at completely out of wine glasses? And why wouldn’t the staff wash the dirty glasses to accommodate a customer’s request or to support a sale?
The young gal at the front desk (wHi was great and very helpful and sweet!) stepped in and coached the 2 individuals behind the bar to go ahead and wash the glasses. She deserves a raise and some recognition for her great customer service and leadership skills.
We were passing through town because we had bought a fantastic new car and wanted to toast our new purchase. Your hotel would’ve had a great sale and we probably would’ve also had dinner. But because your bar was NOT stocked and the bar staff was barely willing to wash some glasses you lost a bar and dinner sale.
Disappointed in the bar selection to say the least.
