"So close to the station and the meal deal for dinner and breakfast was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely to have aircon after some hot nights In London with no aircon. Got the best nights sleep with the cool and the quiet. Would highly recommend. Just questioned the hairdryer in my room, not sure if a wiring issue but it stopped and started. Meant to tell reception on checkout but forgot, sorry!"
"The room was spacious but had a family of large spiders and cobwebs living in it. The carpet was dirty around the beds and the walls had not been wiped down from cobwebs in what I can only assume is a very long time. One staff(Ben) came to help and cleaned the best he could. He was kind and agreed it was not okay.
There was a sign for a free breakfast. When we asked the front desk where it could be found she offered directions. (It was in the south location) but the breakfast was no longer...

"I will never stay at a one of these properties again. The room was fine but the staff at reception was rude and unhelpful. It was booked prepaid with Hotels.com to which they said it was not prepaid even after showing the receipt to her. We chose to have diner there as we were tired. At least 1/3 of the tables were covered in dirty dishes. We eventually were able to flag a server down to give our order for food and drinks. Food arrived which was actually well done but never got our drinks even...
"It was a little far from the center of York. The staff was very nice to hold our luggage until it was time for us to check in. Having a restaurant attached was good for long days out and just want to stay near the hotel room."
