Little cabin in the woods

🌱 Welcome to Les Masades , an ecovillage in the Cévennes National Park ! Enjoy a peaceful and rejuvenating stay in this calm and natural environment. Whether you come with family, as a couple, or alone, this unique place at the crossroads of Gard, Lozère, and Ardèche is ideal for relaxation and tranquility. Many outdoor activities await you nearby: hiking, swimming in Lake Villefort or in the Chassezac River, and tree climbing.
🛖 The little cabin is located in the middle of the forest , close to a stream , for a calm and rejuvenating environment! It is a very basic comfort, for nature lovers.

🛌 The interior of the small cabin includes a double bed , an armchair , storage and a wood stove for winter.

🍳 The kitchen is installed inside the cabin during the fall/winter season, and outside for the spring/summer period. It is composed of basic elements: two hotplates and kitchen utensils (pots, pans, plates, coffee makers, teapot, etc.) to make the most of your stay.

☀️ The little cabin is connected to a solar panel for lights and a USB port for charging mobile phones. There is no access to 220V electricity in the cabin (so no fridge!) but there are outlets available in the common areas of the place.

🚻 The toilets are dry toilets outside the accommodation, with a beautiful view of the stream! In summer, there is a solar shower outside the cabin, and in all seasons, you can use the shared bathroom , located a few minutes walk from the small cabin with shower and water toilet.

🗣 From the small cabin, you have access to the eco-friendly common areas. The village square is a place of sharing and conviviality where vacationers and residents of the Masades can meet.

💦 The natural swimming pool is also a place to relax with its wooden terrace and lounge chairs to enjoy the summer sun. The water in the pool comes from our spring, and it is naturally filtered by the reeds. Generally, the pool is swimmable between the end of May and the end of July, because after that, water becomes too scarce to supply the pool.

🧶 You can also discover the Masades boutique , which offers items and services from the hamlet's artisans : basketwork, herbal teas, honey, jewelry, etc. Wi-Fi access and a teleworking space are available at this location. You can also use the internet with the 4G network throughout the place.

🚲 Upon reservation, you can benefit on site from the Rebozo relaxation treatments offered by one of the ecovillage residents, as well as breakfasts prepared with organic products or even the rental of electric bikes to discover the region.

🎒 Nearby, you can discover many tourist attractions:
- hikes , to do for the day, starting from the Masades or in the surrounding area (Mont Lozère, Païolive woods)
- swimming areas (Villefort lake, Chassezac gorges, Mazet Plage)
- bike rides in the region (we offer electric bike rental)
- local markets , in Vans or Villefort
- discovery of local heritage (La Garde Guérin)
- Mas de l'Ayre Treetop Adventure Park

🚰 The small cabin is supplied with untreated drinking spring water . In summer, use sparingly. Sheets and towels are not provided , please bring your own (140 x 200cm). It is also possible to rent them on site upon prior request.

🥾 For your comfort, we recommend bringing closed-toe shoes and flashlights or headlamps for the night.
🧘🏼‍♀️ In our ecovillage, we have chosen a lifestyle close to nature, vegetarian, without tobacco or alcohol . Therefore, we ask you not to consume meat, fish or alcohol in the collective spaces. You can consume them in your private spaces. Likewise, it is possible to smoke only in the private outdoor spaces (terraces of the yurts, the small cabin and the gîte).
