The Neighborhood:

Magliaso is a relaxed village in southern Ticino, ideally located between Lugano, Lake Lugano and the beautiful Malcantone region.



The area offers an excellent combination of nature and convenience. Lake Lugano, nearby Caslano and its lakeside promenade, local restaurants, shops and hiking opportunities are all within easy reach. Golf Club Lugano is also located in Magliaso and is known for its green setting along the Magliasina river.



Despite the peaceful surroundings, Lugano is easily accessible by train, making Magliaso a great base for exploring southern Ticino.



Getting Around:

The apartment is very well connected by public transport and Lugano can easily be reached without a car.



-Magliaso Paese stop: approx. 5 minutes on foot

-Magliaso railway station: approx. 7 minutes on foot

-Direct S60 train to Lugano

-Around 20–21 minutes by train to Lugano

-S60 trains run approximately every 15 minutes on weekdays

-On Saturdays, public holidays and during evening hours, trains generally run every 30 minutes

-The same line also provides a direct connection towards Caslano and Ponte Tresa



The walking times are based on current location data for Via Vedeggi 12, while the S60 service frequency is confirmed by the railway operator FLP.



A car is useful for discovering more remote areas of Malcantone and Ticino, but it is not necessary for visiting Lugano.
