Christmas get away

They stay was easy check in the property manager was very easy to talk to. There was no ac. We were worried coming from Florida. This was so nice fresh air. And even better doordash comes up that hill. We we will be back. Again and agai

Cabin in the woods

This was our second time staying at this cabin. Beautiful views and has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The decks need to be pressure washed and some updating of the furniture. The master King bed is not very comfortable. and there were tons of leaves on the decks. It had rained so it was slippery. My husband slipped on them and almost fell backwards. Very nice area and location.

Long weekend away with friends

My husband and I stayed in this cabin with another married couple and had the best weekend get away. The cabin was very clean, easy to access, and the views were amazing. Hot tub was hot and running and was the perfect size for 4 of us. The road up to the cabin is steep, but paved, so easy to find and get to. We were in Maggie Valley for an event at the festival grounds, and this cabin was less than 5 minutes away from it. Loved being so close to town, but also feeling a million miles away when in the cabin. We will book again!

Mountain View stay

Very nice property. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch that over looked the mountains. The house was very well equipped. All and all a lovely holiday weekend.

great views but a scary location for walking a dog

Dangerous drive on a one lane mountain road to and from cabin. Showers did not have safety/grab bars which led to my fall on 8-6-23. I requested this safety precaution to Manager before our arrival, as I told him we were 74 and 87 years of age. Manager installed grab handle and non-slip shower mat after my accident. Living room furniture was in very poor condition. Other accommodations were satisfactory.

Amazing!

Great little cabin

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy and very comfortable. The cabin was well stocked with towels and extra pillows if needed and kitchen had everything you would need. It rained all weekend but the fireplace made for a nice evening. The rd is curvy and steep in certain parts but we managed just fine. The cabin was very quiet but still only less than a 5 minute drive to town. The views were gorgeous. The pics do it no justice. We would definitely stay here again and hope to come back soon.

Great view of the mountains in North Carolina.

Had a wonderful time in North Carolina! The house was great. We visited the Nation Park, the Biltmore, Cherokee, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg. Loads of fun!

Second Visit Loved it Again

Very Clean, lots of cooking utensiles, great deck all three of them, newer hot tub on the lower deck. Hardly any road noise from the highway below. The valley is at 2500 ft, and the cabin is at 3500 ft. One bed was sweeky due to a plywood board placed under the mattress, and one shower needed a rubber mat and a better outside mat for safety.

Beautiful Amazing Cabin.

A storm came through the first night we were there. Knocked the power out. Had to leave the next morning because of it. The Property management and the owner were wonderful and refunded our money. This cabin is a gem!!!! We want to go back soon.

Quick getaway

Rented many cabins over the years. This was the best stocked cabin ever. We’ll stocked kitchen including a spice rack. Comfortable furniture, except master bed a little firm for us but nevertheless it took nothing away from our stay. Carolina Vacations was very responsive to our messages.

Snow!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Bonus for these Florida people, it was SNOWING when we arrived! I was very worried about making it up the mountain, but this property is paved all the way up, so we had no issues. The hot tub was lovely, but the outdoor furniture was filthy. I know it’s been winter, and things get dirty, but I still feel like it should have been washed off. There is a screened in portion of the porch that was great for our pups to be able to go outside without worrying about them running off. The cable and high speed internet was great. We could stream tv with no issues. Overall I’d say a 4.75 star!

Well equipped cabin with a nice view from the hot tub

My wife and I spent a week in early March at the property. The view of the mountain was nice and changed daily depending on the weather (clouds above the mountain, behind it, between us and it, etc.). The hot tub is under the upper deck, so it is protected from rain, but still totally outside. There is one neighboring house 50 yards or so away, but that house doesn't have any big windows or porch facing this cabin, so it feels very private. There are two beds and both are fairly firm which is good for those of us with bad backs. There is a fireplace, but make sure the wood you buy is under a shelter - there are several locals selling wet wood that is hard to burn. You can gather kindling from the property. At the time I rented this cabin there were no photos of the bathrooms. I surmise the reason for that is because the bathrooms aren't anything special to get excited about, just normal bathrooms from a house built a few decades ago. Don't let that deter you. This cabin is a ways up the mountain, which provides the good view, but it is worth noting that it is at an altitude of 3,361 feet. If you live nearer to sea level, you'll want to make sure you drink plenty of fluids the first day or two to prevent issues with altitude sickness, and also take note that alcohol will affect you more strongly than normal (I was tipsy after one beer the first night). Speaking of alcohol, if you want liquor, buy it elsewhere and bring it with you - the liquor store in Maggie Valley has the highest prices I've ever seen. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed, but I don't recall seeing a blender (we brought our own just in case). There are ceiling fans in every room to keep the air moving, and the screened in porch has 2 nice wooden rocking chairs where I spent much time. The television is large and has cable, and an HDMI input if you want to connect a laptop/tablet for Netflix/etc. (there is wifi). Aside from lounging around the cabin, there is plenty of gift and antique shopping in Maggie Valley, the Blue Ridge Parkway is just a short drive away and dotted with overlooks where you can get great views/photos of the mountains, Waynesville has two large grocery stores just 20 minutes or so away, and the Biltmore is only around 45 minutes away (if you're going there, I recommend going in the morning so you have plenty of time to walk around the grounds after your tour). All in all, a relaxing stay in a comfortable cabin with plenty to do in the area.
