CozyNest, is exactly as its name implies, a cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin with a bird’s eye view from above the treetops! Be the very first guests to enjoy this brand new two-level custom log home that checks off all the boxes. This charming property boasts everything new and we do mean new from the ground up. And the views…just wow. From the moment you drive in, with its majestic view of the surrounding mountaintops you just know you will never want to leave, but if you must, Maggie Valley is just below you within a minute’s drive.
CozyNest invites you to stay as long as you like but will always make you want to stay longer. Norm is not the word here, where you’ll find understated elements to make your visit more enjoyable with everything from a kid’s alcove with the latest in board games, a magnetic dart board, and overstuffed lounging chair that converts to a twin bedspace. Adjacent to the alcove loft area is a small “booknook” the perfect reading space and on the other side is a work space with a view and desk area.
Modern lighting touches and a well thought out kitchen, center island breakfast bar and long dining area lend to an ambiance of space functionality. Plus, its open floorplan is designed to keep conversations flowing. Always with the guest in mind. Out under the covered porch, rockers and a large gas grill as well as outdoor seating area that converts to outdoor dining and seating await. So does that amazing view. Front porch rockers will welcome you home to sit under the stars visiting with friends.
Sleeping six comfortably, this home features one main floor queen primary bedroom with full bath and two guest queen bedrooms with full adjoining ensuite bath with tub/shower combo. Plus you have room for one more guest including the alcove twin foldout lounge chair. Flat screen TVs are available in each bedroom and in the living space. This home is perfect for a few nights or for a weekly or seasonal rental and includes central heat and air, full size stacking washer, dryer, streaming cable, high speed internet, as well as wood burning fireplace.
Please note this property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. The approach to this property is a mountain road with some short period of incline. We do experience seasonal inclement weather in this region. All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive and/or snow tire chains would be required in winter weather events.
There is so much to do around this vacation home all year-round. Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in downtown Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is a less than a 20 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
