Room was clean - but the toilet had a strange smell even though it was clean.
I liked the shower room with white tiles nice heated towel rail .. but There was some odd white filler behind the toilet on the wall - holes maybe? Nice toiletries
Comfortable bed - only a single room in a nice quiet part of hotel but the wardrobe was large .. too large and the furniture over ambitious - bed just a single - would be better with a single wardrobe .. smaller dressing table and remove one chair which would allow for a small double or three quarters bed.
The room was very cosy but became too hot even with heating off.
The extractor fan was very dusty and so noisy it spoiled the shower experience.
I really enjoy staying here and for the one night was relatively good value.
I didn’t have breakfast as I don’t think it’s competitively priced on the private customer rate - paying the same virtually for room only as a corporate b and b rate in a slightly larger room. Staff always pleasant - did eat evening meal - good selection of food .. the downstairs area is lovely but we had very high winds which meant the front door kept opening and the wind gusted through - never been an issue before.
