Quiet and relaxing getaway by the lake

Come and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing weekend, week or month at our cozy lake front cottage on the shores of Lake Ontario. There are two bedrooms. One with a queen bed and one with a twin bed. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa (new in 2022 with a comfortable mattress).

You can do as much as you want by visiting nearby Golden Hill State Park & Lighthouse to hike their trails (2 miles from the cottage) or a number of local wineries, fruit and vegetable stands, Amish stores and antique shops.

Or you can do as little as you want by just sitting by a camp fire on the waterfront sipping your favorite beverage and watching the wildlife go by. If it gets too windy on the lakeside, you can still enjoy a campfire in the park like setting in the backyard.

If you are up for an adventure, Niagara Falls is 60 minutes away to view the famous falls, Cave of the Winds or take a ride on the Maid of the Mist, visit the historic Village of Lewiston's shops or take a jet boat ride on the mighty Niagara River (45 mins.) or visit Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown (35 mins). Also, 45 mins. to the south is Darien Lake Amusement Park.

Trust all the reviews

This property is great. Very clean and as described in the listing. The lake is right out back, and provides a great view. The owner takes time to make you feel at home with the little things and it shows. Owner lives nearby and is incredibly helpful and friendly. We arrived late at night and she had the lights on for us. I would stay again for sure.

Comfortable and Cozy

Wonderful cottage right on Lake Ontario. Very clean and well appointed. Close to neighbors but very quiet, with plenty of privacy. The owners are fantastic; super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Fabulous getaway!

The cottage is just as described. Very cozy. Love the closeness to the lake. The fire pit was awesome! We got to see the Northern Lights when we were there! It was an amazing site to see over the lake! Sue was very gracious and very pleasant and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying there. Already talking about when we may return.

Relaxing weekend by the Lake

My friends and I had a wonderful time at Sue and Tom's house. The house was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect, right on the Lake shore with great views and a fire pit. Tom and Sue were very friendly and helpful, and they made sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a perfect weekend getaway.

Lovely Time in Western New York

The cottage is literally on the lake shore, so it's nice to get up in the morning and see what the state of the ever-changing Lake Ontario is! The house is clean, well-equipped, comfortable, good wi-fi, ample cooking utensils, and a handy set of extra-strong binoculars in case you want to try to read the name of that giant ship crossing the lake! We used it as a base to visit all around western NY and to bike at various places along the Erie Canal, just 20 miles away. Cider works/wineries are in the area, plus we scored the Celtic Heritage Festival in Lockport, courtesy of the heavy Irish presence in western NY. Many thanks to our hosts who were always available but never intrusive for giving us a lovely comfortable week!

Serenity

If you're looking for little to no noise within a pretty home, then this is your place. Situated on the shores of Lake Ontario and surrounded by beautiful flowers, hummingbirds, and purple martins, this peaceful location will renew your soul. Head down to Medina for supplies or nice food choices. The only down side is knowing you'll have to drive away at the end of your visit.
