Disfruta de la belleza natural en este retiro histórico a orillas del río Shenandoah. Construido en 1739, Stonewall Crossing se encuentra en 25 acres hermosos con casi un cuarto de milla de vistas al río, un prado, una cantera y vistas de la cordillera de Massanutten.

Stonewall Crossing es un respiro único y acogedor en el campo que se encuentra a orillas de este río histórico. La cabaña de madera original de dos pisos ha sido bellamente renovada. Our family had a great time. The house was as advertised, fully stocked kitchen, linens/towels were provided & starters for all paper products throughout. The location was great for walks on the property and hikes in Shenandoah National Park. The theatre room was fantastic!

Unfortunately the tropical storm made our stay not as enjoyable as the storm knocked out the power at the house. Although the host did contact me to let me know power was out, she didn't mention that there would be no water as a result. We would've been fine if there was still plumbing in the house, especially with little kids, but unfortunately we had to cut our trip short as we couldn't keep driving to the store to use the bathroom or buy water to flush the toilet. Host should invest in a generator to at least keep the electric pump for the water going.

A great family reunion was made even better with this excellent country homestead. Place was awesome with great views and a very family first feel. Lots of places to kick back and relax individually or as a group. Love the home theatre set up for movie night when the rain came! Plenty of space on the lawn for yard games or football toss. The smokehouse chimney was a great place to finish out the day. We would come back here in a second!

What a beautifully appointed historic home! We enjoyed our stay at Stonewall Crossing immensely! Very clean and great attention to detail! Plenty of room for the family to gather, but also space to have quiet time. We felt transported back in time!

What was good All the appliances worked, power was on, and no bed bugs. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, utensils, small appliances, etc. The home is decorated well and you can tell they invested in their bathrooms. The fireplace for smore's in the yard was nice and the grass was low so we were able to play in the yard. No mosquitos outside, which was a surprise. There are tons of light switches everywhere, you can spend lots of time trying to find the one you need! There was complimentary tea, but the good flavors were all gone. I left an item and Sara was nice enough to mail it back to me at no extra charge, which was beyond kind. What was okay The house is dark at night if you turn all the lights off. We brought extra night lights and left a couple on in case we needed to go downstairs. The hot water worked fine, but wreaked of Sulphur and was cloudy. There were not many games at all. Pictionary was warped probably from getting wet. There were cards, and Uno, but not much else to do. There is a closet of baby toys, but nothing for older kids, so come prepared. As my husband put it, "If your entertainment system requires 8 pages of laminated instructions, it's the wrong one!" We got it working, but the wi-fi was spotty. There was almost no view of the river as the brush has been allowed to grow up, so there was only one spot in the whole house that had any view, which was disappointing. There are a lot of antique chairs in the home. Some are rickety, but they do hold you. The ceilings upstairs have low door entry's and low beams. My husband is 6' 5" and hit his head on the rafters several times. We finally just decided to stay out of some of the rooms. There are also raised boards at the entry to rooms, making it easy to trip. So watch your head and your step. What was bad BUGS. Indoors, spiders under chairs (with spider eggs as a bonus), ants, and one's you will have to google to figure out. There are not just flying bugs from leaving a door open. The bathroom in the "kids room" is scary. The door locks from the outside and the window is broken, so if your little one pushes it up it will slam back down almost instantly. Really dangerous for little fingers. Also there is no hand shower and the tub is a soaking tub. You'll need to bring a hand held shower attachment or bring a glass up from downstairs if you want to wash your child's hair. The other tub across the hall does not have a hand shower either. DIRTY. There were three hairs

Loved the property. Will definitely rent again. Close to my family. Loved the movie room and outside fireplace area. Great number of bathrooms but sulphur in the water really smells. Maybe a water purifier? Ample kitchen. Beautiful fireplaces. Cozy!

What a great long weekend at Stonewall Crossing! My family absolutely loves this house. This was our 4th visit (I've already booked next year). The spacious house is perfect for our expanding family, including 7 adults and 3 grandchildren. We love the house, the grounds and the location. We got to enjoy 3 days of hiking and kayaking on the river, and then relaxed with a fire and s'mores. The owner/host is amazing! Very quick to respond with questions and even let us stay past check out this year. We had car trouble on the last day and needed to wait until the repairs were done. Can't wait until next year.

This property was located close to The Shenandoah National Park. We were able to hike during the day & relax in luxury. This property was absolutely beautiful & the house provided us with plenty of room. We enjoyed movies on a large movie screen each night. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. We kayaked on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River with kayaks & equipment provided by the property owner. What a great getaway!

We had a great time at this historic home. The ease of getting to the Shenandoah River and the Town of Luray was perfect for us. Our daughter got married at a vineyard near town and it was a quick bump up the road to get to it. We had extended family stay with us, as well, and everything was simply beautiful. We had a wonderful stay in this historical farmhouse. The house is impeccable and offers such a warm and comfortable feeling. Plenty of space for all to spread out. We loved the movie room and the outdoor areas. One thing to note is that one of the king suites and laundry is separate from the other bedrooms. It was nice being close to everything but so peaceful and quiet here. Thank you, Sara. We hope to return.

We stayed here with a group of friends for a weekend to go tubing along the Shenandoah River. The house is beautiful with old rustic charm and modern updates. It was more than enough house for all 8 adults. We enjoyed the outside chimney the most and made many many s’mores!

We had a beautiful weekend at Stonewall Crossing! It was a perfect place to celebrate my 70th birthday. We especially loved the number of bathrooms in the home. The home was beautifully restored, and the historical information was interesting to read. It was a cozy place, and the beds were very comfortable. It was so hot outside that we didn't get to enjoy the grounds as much as we wanted. Everyone did have a chance to use the kayaks and get in the river, which was delightful. We did think the path that led from the lawn to the river was a little difficult to navigate. Maybe that area could be cut back and leveled a bit. We all loved the home theater! We were so comfortable on the leather couches, and we felt like we were at the movies! The only other concern was that the water smelled like rotten eggs. Maybe a well treatment would help that. Otherwise, the kitchen was fully stocked and comfortable to work in. Again, we all had a wonderful weekend at Stonewall Crossing. I truly enjoyed my special birthday weekend with my family at this beautiful home.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this lovely home in the valley. The views were stunning and you can see the river from almost every room in the house. The kids loved exploring the yard and playing games and we had a fire in the outdoor fireplace every night. The inside was very cozy with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the theater room and the gas fireplaces. This is a rental that has something to offer in every season and we look forward to coming back again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Stonewall Crossing. My family including my 16 month old granddaughter were all there. We found the home to be comfortable enough but were very disappointed in the amount of bugs there were. I mean every where! THey really need to get a terminater out there to get ride of this bug problem. I can't even imagine what it would be like in the summer.

Beautiful, spacious, historic home. Amazing views. Great outdoor spaces including an outdoor fireplace and a river across the street. The town of Luray is only a short drive. (FYI - the house was toasty, toasty warm upstairs (even when we lowered the heat). We didn’t need quite the winter sleepwear we all brought.). We look forward to returning for another visit!

We had a group of 4 couples get together for a weekend - the property was perfect for us. So many thoughtful touches - from unique artwork to comfortable furniture to a well appointed kitchen. The Host was responsive and informative. Everything was as advertised and better than expected. Don't hesitate to book this one.

We had a wonderful experience at Stonewall crossing. The property is amazing with plenty of open space to explore and lots of river views and direct access. The house was great! Steeped in history with really nice updates and a great layout. The layout was especially nice for us who had grandparents traveling with us because they were able to have their own secluded suite. This was the 3rd year in a row that we rented Stonewall Crossing for our family weekend in Luray. It was great once again. The weather was less than perfect (cloudy and foggy most of the weekend), but we had 1 day on Skyline Dr, a trip to a local pumpkin patch and some time on the river (love that the kayaks are available for our use). The house provides enough room for everyone to spread out (5 adults and 2 grandchildren) but also has everything we need to enjoy being together. We are in the process of booking our 2022 weekend at "our mountain house" -- that's what my 5 year old granddaughter calls it.

A wonderful home on the banks of the Shenandoah River, overflowing with peace and relaxation. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the quiet evenings in front of the outside fireplace watching for shooting stars.
