Garfield Guest House - Stonyman Suite

Garfield Guest House is located in the heart of historic district of downtown Luray, Virginia. The hundred year old Victorian is the perfect vacation retreat or weekend getaway. Our beautiful Guest House is divided into two fully furnished one bedroom suites, each well appointed suite offers private full sized eat in kitchens with all major appliances, spacious living rooms, relaxing spa baths and private key coded entrances for your safety and convenience.

Stroll to area restaurants, shops or the local farmer's market. Relax on the porch and enjoy a nice meal, or venture to one of the many local attractions of the town. Enjoy restaurants, shops, art galleries, concert venues, locals theaters, The Performing Arts Center, and the Hawksbill Greenway trail all in walking distance.

Visitors will find plenty to do such as hiking in the Shenandoah National Park, fishing, rafting or canoeing on the Shenandoah River, horseback riding, and travelling through 150 acres of beautiful mountain views of Skyline Drive, or experiencing the underground world of the famous Luray Caverns. For that special golfer in mind, we have a beautiful course only 10 minutes away to take in a quick 9 or 18 holes. Don't forget to visit our local wineries and taste the best of what Virginia's wine country has to offer. Garfield Guest House has the perfect location to all that Shenandoah has to offer. The best part is at the end of a great day come back to a great place to relax with that special person.

Gem in Luray

The suite has everything you need and more! There is a fireplace, a spa bath, and rain-shower head shower, comfy king size bed and a full size kitchen with snacks. Even the bath mats felt so luxurious. The photos don’t do the place justice. It’s also within a short walk to the main areas downtown so it’s in a great location. Larry and his wife Janine were the best hosts-incredibly nice and cared that we had a comfortable stay. I would absolutely return. Thank you!!

A comfortable weekend

The accommodations were a home away from home and a comfortable respite for a weekend visit to see the changing of the leaves and visit Luray Caverns, which was only 10 minutes away. With great restaurants only minutes away and Shenandoah National Park not much further this was a great place to stay.

Clean and comfortable guest house

This guest house was very clean and comfortable including a very nice hot tub amenity. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying here. Also, very close to Shenandoah and Luray caverns.

A wonderful gem. Lovely, spacious, beautiful and best of all very relaxing.

This was a lovely place. I wish I had the time to spend a whole week rather than just a weekend. I felt as though the owners thought of everything. The bed was so spacious and comfortable I did not want to get out. It’s a short drive to Skyline drive so we went for a nice long hike. Then returned for a long soak in the fancy spa tub. We brought some of our own food and it was nice to see a full size kitchen and basic kitchen tools to work with. We will be back. The owners were quick to reply to questions and offer suggestions for dinner and activities.

Terrific place; everything it promised and more.

Beautifully decorated and kept by a great couple who clearly love being hosts. Comfortable, cozy, and faultlessly clean, filled with thoughtful details and welcoming touches. Cannot say enough nice things about the place. We will be back!

Wonderful apartment in the heart of Luray, VA

Decided this year to get a cottage in a small town in the mountains instead of our usual cabin in the country for Thanksgiving Weekend. We ran across this little gem in Luray VA. Larry the host was very kind and accommodating. He initially gave us a call followed by a welcome email several days before our stay. He was very flexible with our arrival and access (given DC traffic exiting the city during T-Day weekend). Directions were easy. Access to the property was easy. The place was very cozy and charming. Wonderful for a couple. It stayed warm very easily. Felt very much like our home away from the city. We would stay again. The stay for three days and two nights was as cozy and relaxing as it gets. Thanks for letting us use your cozy little place.

Exactly as described, really sweet hosts!

Larry and Jeanine are super nice, made us feel comfortable, and offered pointers on places to dine in the area. The was an issue with another guest that was disturbing our stay, and Larry handled it very professionally! Everything was perfect and we'll absolutely stay there again! Oh, and they offer snacks in the room, y'all!

Beautiful Guest House in Luray!

Larry and his wife have a perfect guest cottage. They were wonderful hosts and the cottage has everything you need for a long weekend. We will be back.
