Condo was very clean and on 2nd floor overlooking James St. No elevator. While there are 2 doors for the building, the code to get into the building only works on the back door (safety? Or we did it wrong) and not the front door on James St.Basic simple amenities- providing only what was needed which was totally fine for us. Could have used an additional blanket for the bed. We could’ve taken a blanket from the other bedroom—-we just turned up heat instead. There are working smoke detectors even though VRBO doesn’t list it. Went for NYE celebration. And it snowed. Noise (music, people, plows) in evening did not bother us at all. It was not that loud. Wished we could’ve seen ball drop from window but we could not…..but it was only 2 blocks down. They close the streets so it was easy to get there/back. 3 bars directly across the street from this place were fun and delicious food! So convenient!This place is nice and roomy - perfect for family or friends of 4-5. Small hard couch and small TV in main room. We were just a couple. No problems with anything including power, heat and internet. Bed was very comfy. Overall a fantastic time in a great location. Would love to stay here again if the opportunity arises. This review is more for information for the next renter :)! No complaints!! Not sure why the review form asked about wineries because we didn’t go and they were all closed!But if you do come here for wine, there are some really nice wineries in the area!

Smelly Cigarette Smoke

Apartment significantly smelled of cigarette smoke as soon as we opened the door. We had to open all the windows and blow the air conditioner. We spend the first 1 1/2 hours of our vacation - going to the store to purchase Febreze spray, plug in's, etc. Then working to get the smell under control. The location is very noisy at night - traffic, motor cycles, etc. We had sound machine and air purifier and it felt like we were on the street. Not our best experience. There were NO EXTRAS here. Only one good pan and it slides off the crooked burner. 1 Raggedy dish towel. Very small TV. Sorry - just not worth the cost.

Perfect beach getaway

Big table for playing games. Bars, beach and food within walking distance. Comfortable beds. Everything was perfect except for the tight parking space, luckily hubby is a good parker.

Clean accommodations

Listing was as described as far as the inside of the condo is concerned. Basic accommodations. Clean bedding, comfortable king bed, plush towels, washer/dryer in unit. Parking not ideal and is not described until booking is made. Small spot between brick wall and another vehicle. Suburbans or large trucks are VERY difficult to squeeze in. This also means you need to unload your car and/or passengers in front of the apartment door (which blocks the flow of traffic through the parking lot) and back up into your spot. Also not mentioned is how far of a walk the apartment unit is from parking. It’s up two flights of stairs plus a long, windy hallway. If you have difficulty walking, this would be a big issue. Not enough hot water for 5 ppl. Apartment is directly across the street from a bar. After reading some reviews about the noise, I did not expect it to be a huge issue as we were booking for a Monday and Tuesday night. This bar seems to be rocking 7 days a week? LOUD music with a speaker on the outside of the building pointed towards the apartment bedrooms (directly above street) until at least 2-3am. This made it very difficult for us as well as our kids to sleep. Sound machines (provided) and fans helped a little but definitely a big disruption. If you are someone who is out having fun until 2am this may not bother you. We were traveling with kids. Overall, probably fine for people wanting to enjoy the night life but not ideal for people wanting sleep before 2-3am.

Amazing place

Listing was accurate and in a great location! Only 2 blocks from the main strip it was within walking distance to all the shops and the children’s museum. Place was clean and our kids loved the bunk beds. To top it off the lister was very clear on where it was and how to get into the building. Would definitely stay there again.

We had plenty of room and the furniture was comfortable. There is some street noise in the unit we stayed in but during the week it wasn’t too bad. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice apartment, good location

Nice apartment with plenty of space for 4 adults & 1 baby. Loved being walking distance from the beach, marina, and downtown shops and restaurants. There's some noise later at night from the pub across the street, but it wasn’t a big issue.

Location, location, location!

We were very impressed with the property. Very cozy and comfortable, clean and the location could not be beat, especially for New Years Eve festivities right outside the door! Loved this condo and will definitely book again!

Great location

Enjoyed the stay. Listing was exactly as described; as other reviews noted, it can get pretty loud at night with people outside of bar directly across the street, but didn’t bother me. Is a little unique that they don’t leave any condiments, etc, but does result in everything super clean!

Family stay in downtown Ludington

This apartment was clean and just as advertised. Great central location downtown to walk to everything – food, shopping. Perhaps a 1 mile walk all the way to the light house and beach, but easy to do for the entire family. Easy communication with the host and easy to get in. Would recommned staying here and would stay again.

Great Location

Going into this knowing that the unit was upstairs without an elevator and located near bars is imperative. For a girls weekend..it was perfect. Great, central location to eat, drink and beach. We loved it.

Great little place downtown

We have been coming to Ludington for several years now. This location was great to walk to everything! Apartment was well stocked and easy to access. Parking was a little tight, but the location couldn’t be beat! Would definitely stay again:)
