Located in a quiet, mature tree lined neighborhood near lake and beach.
Cute, cozy, newly remodeled self-contained basement apartment with private entrance and patio and fenced in yard in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in beautiful Loveland Colorado. Mature neighborhood with lots of trees. The apartment has two bedrooms, pull-out sofa bed, ,full bath. There is a TV with Netflix. In both the living area and larger bedroom, which also has a desk for a nice work area.Fully equipped kitchenette with full fridge. Lockbox for convenient self check-in and check-out. Convenient use of washer and dryer and second smaller bath. (Note that there is one regular flight of stairs into apartment) The upstairs ( main house) is where your host lives.

Dog friendly ( no cats allowed) with fully contained fenced backyard but please consult with owner first before booking your pet. (Dogs must be crated if left alone). There is a 6 ft privacy fence separating the back yard so your vacation rental has its own fenced yard area, private deck with dining area and gas bbq.

Please note: Dog fee is $50 per trip. This is subject to increase depending on number of dogs and the situation at owner's discretion.

Conveniently located very close to main road to Rocky Mountain National Park which is about 45 minutes away. 5 min walk to public beach and lake, the famous Benson Sculpture Park. 15 minutes from Boyd Lake State park, Carter Lake, Horsetooth reservoir. Close to beautiful parks for kids play and recreation. Grocery store 2 minutes away, hospital 10 minutes. Historic downtown Loveland is only 10 minutes away providing easy access to the downtown's many art galleries, antique shops, and restaurants.

Please note that the town of Loveland is not the same place as the Loveland ski resort. That is over 2 hrs away!

Note that there is one standard stairway going down to the basement so please take that into account if that poses a physical challenge for you.


Everyone is welcome and I look forward to hosting you. I of course would enjoy meeting and welcoming you but for the most part will leave to your privacy but I will always be a phone call or a text away!

The host is wonderful and very responsive. The apartment is very cute with a nice bathroom. We loved the welcoming touches like the water bowl for the dogs and the coffee pods, and the patio and yard area is really nice to sit out in. The only drawbacks were the beds are very firm and being a basement apartment you do hear the noises from upstairs. Otherwise a good place to stay in a good location.

We were extremely satisfied with our stay! The apartment was very cozy and clean, and the outdoor private deck was a bonus. The host, Kathy was so sweet and thoughtful. She made sure we were taken care of. Kathys attention to detail goes beyond what you would expect. The apartment had everything we needed and then some. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Kathy is an amazing host and wonderful person! The rental was fantastic, warm and cozy feelings, welcoming air about it and a nice inviting atmosphere. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because the rental is located below the actual house and the dogs, while friendly and nice, tend to bark at night (as dogs do) and woke me and my friend up on several occasions. Kathy is incredibly great, if you are a heavy sleeper or have an ambient sound machines you will be completely fine.

Loveland Get Away

Our stay with Kathy was amazing! Super clean and well organized. You can tell she genuinely cares and puts in effort to make sure you’re comfortable and have what you need. She gave us fruit when we left and also had fun paintings we could buy. 10/10 would recommend

Kathy took care of us from initial booking through checkout! She even built us a fire in the fire pit for our s’mores party. The space is conveniently located, warm, inviting and fully equipped with all supplies you may need. Kathy is communicative, accommodating and full of Loveland information. This is the perfect space for a small group or family, totally easy to navigate with kids. Highly recommend!!

Disappointed

We were in town for our son's wedding. I didn't realize that we wouldn't have a stove, only a hot plate. The renters that lived upstairs moved out recently and left the house pretty dirty. The basement where we were at was superficially clean but my wife and daughter both saw rodents. After 3 hours we left and went and checked into a hotel. The property manager was embarrassed and appalled. We are waiting for a refund. She said that they would refund our payment.

This was perfect for us and our dog. The stairs to the basement are a bit steep and I must have missed that this is a basement unit but regardless, it wasn't an issue for us. We had everything we needed to make this a pleasant stay. It also made me realize i need a new mattress for my home :0) Thank you for making our first trip to Colorado a pleasant one!!

Basement living is not for me

First off, Kathy is a great host and is dedicated to you having a good stay. She communicated quickly and was very accommodating. My group needed an emergency place to stay, and this was one of the few available for our time frame. Overall the place was comfortable, clean, and inviting. The tenants upstairs were friendly, but living under a group of people and their animals can be a bit noisy. I knew this was possible when I reserved the place, but was hopeful it wouldn't be too intrusive. The weekend was fine, but the weekdays brought early morning noise (people have to go to work after all) that made it hard to get a good nights sleep. We left a day early for a different (upstairs) situation, and I informed Kathy of our dilemma and decision. She refunded us for the last day and informed me she would speak with the tenants regarding the noise. If the noise issue was addressed, I would recommend this as a good place to stay short-term.

Nice space located close to lake.

We enjoyed walks to park and lake in the AM before going to work. Pet friendly, safe location! Host was great communicating prior to our arrival. Easy to find and access with instructions given. We enjoyed our 2 day stay.

Perfect for our Group

This house was perfect for our group of 7 knitters (8th person cancelled). We are all ‘over 40’ and our goal is to relax in comfy quarters for several days and rejuvenate while knitting and laughing. Since Covid, everyone really prefers their own room so finding a home with 8 bedrooms was just what we wanted, Stairs are difficult for some but we made it work. I can’t think of anything we needed that we could not find. The area has decent restaurants and I am sure shopping - but we never left to shop! We are planning next year to return. We had had a Log Cabin in Potosi WI we went to every year but the place was sold. We have searched a few years to find another perfect place and are happy we have found it.

Perfect Location

This rental was absolutely perfect for our needs. The unit was clean and comfortable and had all amenities one might need. Best of all was the proximity to Lake Loveland where we would watch the spectacular sunset each evening. Would definitely stay here again if available.
