We loved our stay here with our two dogs! The cabin was so cute and cozy, and even nicer than the photos. The new hardwood floors and bigger TV were such a nice surprise. The hosts were so kind and quick to respond, and the mountain views were absolutely beautiful. Being close to Alcoa airport was also super cool getting to watch all the planes go by. It was so peaceful and relaxing just the perfect little getaway.Just note that the kitchen is more of a kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge, toaster, coffee maker, and grill, so plan to eat out a bit. We’d definitely come back again someday!

I stayed here with my dog during the work week while I was waiting for my apartment lease to begin in downtown Knoxville and it was pretty perfect for a separate guest room with private outdoor space on the homeowner’s property. Doug could literally not be cooler, he greeted me and my dog Bear and made us feel right at home. There’s a great outdoor breezeway area with a bar and a huge back patio and backyard that he lets you have all to yourself. My dog loved to watch the bucks lock antlers after work in the evenings after work and you definitely feel like you’re way out of town even though you can get to UT’s campus and downtown in under 20 minutes. Would be ideal for a couple coming into town for a game day weekend or any other reason (super close to the airport as well as Maryville). The interior is pretty small but the size of a very large hotel room and way nicer, plus all the outdoor space definitely adds a ton of value. There’s a small bathroom and it’s basically a large studio with a living area with a big TV and a couple of chairs, and a VERY comfortable bed. No full kitchen but fine if you’re not cooking.Ideal place to stay if you enjoy any of the following:- spending time unplugged outdoors - cute frog decor - the option for very hot water for your showers - great mountain views - easy and quick commute from Knoxville that seems to have better rush hour traffic than other equidistant areas- super friendly hosts that live onsite but give you total privacy

Toad-ally awesome!

Doug and Cathy were great hosts - space was as described, clean, and even provided snacks, coffee, tea, and water for our stay. Dog-friendly with ample outdoor areas to potty and play with the pups. Hosts live on site but rental area was adequately separated and very private.

Cute, comfortable room, easy access to UT

Room was comfortable, clean, and as expected. Good for 2 adults. Easy parking. Location seemed to provide easy access to various expressway routes, easy access to suburban dining and shopping, to intown Knoxville, to airport, to UT. We were there for frisbee tourney at UT rec fields which were very near. Check in/out was super easy. Comm with host also very easy.

Great Spot! Comfortable and cozy!

Great place to stay and hang out! Very clean with comfortable bed and great indoor and outdoor seating areas. Easy drive to Knoxville and plenty of restaurants and shopping close by. Host was nice and welcoming.Thank you for the Keurig and for sharing your home!

Great Experience

The property owner was very nice and made us feel welcome. A wonderful place to stay, the outdoor area was very nice. Saw many deer and has great views. Will definitely book there again, especially during warmer months when we can enjoy the outdoors more.

Toad Hill was Terrific!

Our stay was fantastic! Couldn’t have asked for more from a location. Just off the highway, but up on a hill in the trees. Very secluded. The living space was basically a studio with a very, very small bathroom. It was stocked with towels and the shower had plenty of hot water. The living area had a very comfortable king bed with extra blankets. The little things made a big difference. They had trays of chocolates around the room as well as snacks (granola bars and rice Krispy treats). They also had waters in the fridge, a Keurig with pods, half and half as well as flavored creamer. We didn’t get to meet the owners as they were out of town, but their communication was 10/10! They actually have two rentals on location (the second being “The Barn @ Toad Hill”. We were lucky enough to see this place and it was hands down one of the most unique and beautiful places we’ve ever seen. Both places are worth the asking price. We were in town for the Vols vs Gators football game. Just wished there was more Tennessee decor in these two locations. We will definetely be back!

Great stay

We were visiting the area to visit our granddaughter at UT. The location was perfect. This studio was just what we need and our fur babies loved it. The bed is very comfortable. Everything you need was there for you to use. You can see the mountains from the veranda. My favorite spot to have a beverage a just relax. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Doug and Cathy

Wonderful Stay

Eastern Tennessee has so much to offer and toad hill was perfectly located. It was quiet and comfortable. Coffee and the hummingbirds on the porch in the early morning was a treat to see. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect stay

This was the easiest transaction and perfect homey accommodations. We were in town for a concert series and didn't spend much time in the space but it was cozy and has lots of personality. We were also on the run too much to enjoy the great patio but it was awesome knowing that we could and would feel comfortable doing so. The communication and Doug checking in made us feel like we were staying in an old friend's guest house.

Wonderful Location

This small one room addition to a home is really nicely appointed and I had no idea there were so many frog/toad accessories! I really appreciate the care it took to make this small space so inviting! Owner is very friendly and we had a great time!! Would stay here again!

Perfect landing place

A big thank you to Cathy and Doug for being so welcoming and keeping such a wonderful space! Their apartment was a welcome change from all the incredibly boring and cheap feeling places out there. They have an eye for original art (frog art, too) that will surprise you with its delicacy and craftsmanship. All around, Toad Hill was a sight for sore eyes. I cant wait to come back.

Whimsical Vintage

My parents stayed here over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful stay. The place is very unique and definitely lived up to the property name as there were decorative frogs everywhere!! So fun! The property owner was extremely nice and friendly and assisted with anything we needed. We stayed with our two dogs and he had no problems with that! Great stay and we will stay here again when in the area!
