This rental delivers a clean, modern interior, remodeled bathrooms, three spacious bedrooms and well-kept furniture. Its downtown Louisville location is steps from key destinations. We were optimistic when we first walked in.However, the building's age and condition present significant issues. The repurposed office space lacks any soundproofing. The giant bedroom windows offer no resistance to the sound, bringing the city’s considerable nightly roar into the room – from midnight until 5 AM.Adding to the nocturnal symphony is a giant electric billboard across the street. Its flashing movie theater-level light show streams through broken, ineffective aluminum blinds, creating a disco in your room. All. Night. Long. The nightly laser-light show and noise was bad enough, but perhaps the most unexpected amenity was the "night deposits" left directly at the entry. The entrance became a private outdoor restroom for locals, requiring careful navigation around actual human waste that was deposited on the door and in the entry. Yes – we had to navigate around human poo every time we entered and left. Our attempt to contact the host about this were met with silence. The relentless noise, constant light intrusion, and unaddressed entry issue were deal-breakers. This property might suit hibernating bears, those with an exceptional ability to sleep through rock concerts and light shows, and anyone who doesn't mind unexpected biohazards. We’ll find somewhere else next time.
