The drive up the meandering hill to the property was beautiful and the view from the room was spectacular. The amenities were phenomenal. The host was gracious and peaceful. We will stay there again.

It appears there are several rooms for rent but only one listing. We did not get the roomThat was listed. There is a lot of construction going on, so little dusty. Will be great one complete.

We loved our stay here! We were looking for a taste of what it feels like to live in the hills of LA and this place gave us just that. It gave an amazing view in a super relaxing setting. The studio is small and minimal with basic amenities but it fit our style. Our host Felix was very accommodating and helpful. His response was almost immediate whenever we had questions. We will definitely stay again in the future.

My stay here was very nice and I experienced no issues. The only thing I’d mention is that I did not realize this was a space for multiple guests until I read so in past guest’s reviews. This of course means that enjoying the pool depends on how comfortable you are with potentially having company while you’re in there. That said, the view was amazing. I got to enjoy the pool. The room was as described in the listing. Checking in and out was a breeze. I felt like I had my privacy despite the other guests; everyone staying there was respectful. I read other reviews that mentioned there is work being done on the house, and while I did notice some materials and the very occasional worker, it personally didn’t bother me as I was mostly out and about and doing stuff during the day. Workers were already gone by the time my partner and I would get back to the room. All in all, this room served as a quiet and scenic spot for us to unwind at the end of the day. It served its purpose for our trip. It might not if you’re just there for the room.

Though Felix masterfully balances attentiveness with valuing guest privacy, the property is undergoing significant repair and maintenance. The stairs leading down to our studio were in need of repair and pose significant fall risk, and everyday we were there (Thurs-Sun), we were awoken by construction work by 8:30am. Amenities such as parking and the pool are accurately described, however, failure to disclose that the property has multiple available units (not private) and the extent to which active construction is occurring makes the listing feel misleading. Beyond other guests being present on the property, we also experienced construction/maintenance workers being outside our door daily. Additionally, basic amenities like face towels, cleaning supplies (to wash our dishes, sanitize the toilet that is in the shower, etc) were not provided. Overall, the property is in a beautiful location, and Felix is very welcoming. However, it does not currently feel in apt condition for hosting guests. I am curious to know how my nightly rate compares to guests who were able to experience a more private, disruption-free stay when construction is not actively happening on site. I frankly feel it should be adjusted to reflect the experience we had if it hasn’t already.
