The unique part about this area of Malibu is that everything is very close-by! World class restaurants & modestly priced cafes, Malibu Fitness Center, surfing lessons & rentals, kayak & diving rentals, charter a fishing or sailboat, trendy local stores for shopping and experiencing the flavor of Malibu. Enjoy the numerous hiking & biking trails in the Malibu/Santa Monica Mountains.

A large private deck, hardwood floors & garage parking accent this comfortable rental. Fully equipped with a barbecue, gas range, microwave, refrigerator, washer/dryer, linens & all essentials for cooking & dining.

Great apartment right on the shore. Lovely owners, easy access, beautiful view. Unfortunately the place is in desperate need of an update especially at this high price point. There is no comfortable seating anywhere, except the couch. Needs additional soft, comfortable seating and new mattress!Living room: Holes in the couch/chair covers, incredibly painful side chair, no cushion or support left. Needs immediate replacing! At least a nice throw rug. Anything to warm the place up. Video equipment sits on ugly, awkward, cheap shelf under TV. Bedroom: Bed is flimsy and terribly uncomfortable. Constantly squeaks with every move. Needs immediate replacement! Very outdated furniture. Impossible to see the entire TV screen from the bed as slay foot board blocks the screen. Incredibly outdated cable chaos. Difficult remote setup. Ancient peeling, dilapidated bedroom furniture. Needs an entirely new KING bed suite. The queen bed is awful! Rusted & corroded air vent from bedroom to living room. Bathroom: Tiny child-sized, low, toilet. Mold in bathtub tile. Clogged and corroded shower head. Kitchen: Run down with very few basics. No wine or champagne glasses, no trays, platters, cookie sheets or anything new. Worn out toxic Teflon mismatched pans and nothing for the oven. No baking dishes or oven proof anything. Tiny 'bathroom' trash can only in kitchen. A little luv would go a long way. VERY loud crashing waves. Difficult to sleep. Disappointing sorry to say.

Beautiful view and spot

This is a lovely little beach cottage with old school charm of simplicity. There is nothing fancy about this place but that is ok as all you need it that view! The couch on the deck was my favorite spot! Make sure to bring a hairdryer though if needed as there is not one and I had business meetings to attend. After the initial check in and tour from Angel, there was no communication, which was disappointing as I had a few questions. Regardless, the view was superb!

Rustic & Ideally Located

This place is ideally located on a beautiful beach with stunning views and is within walking distance to the pier and shops. We especially loved our time on the balcony enjoying the sights and sounds of the crashing waves. We also appreciated the parking. The man, Angel, who met us at the rental and let us in was super kind and informative! However, given the price point of this rental we were disappointed that there was no hot water coming from the bathroom sink, the blinds were broken and inoperable in both the bedroom and living room. Overall the place has a rustic and charming feel, but could use a few updates.

Never Disappoints!

This was our 3rd stay and it never disappoints! It's absolutely breathtaking. Clean and everything you need is either already there or very close by, walks to the pier for delicious coffee in the morning and a glass of wine on the balcony listening to the crashing waves. We can't wait to come back! Thank you!

Location is great but the property itself is in disrepair.

The location is great and the view is amazing. But that’s about it. This property is in need of maintenance. It’s not that it’s dated it is in disrepair. The door to the balcony doesn’t shut, the bathroom door is hard to close, mold around some windows. The fireplace doesn’t work. The nicest piece of furniture is the balcony sofa. I wouldn’t say the photos match the listing and it definitely feels like they keep charging a premium for a property that is declining and overall feels grimy. I am very suspicious of all of these 10/10 reviews. Very misleading. The management was very kind. No issues with them!

Great Location

Location is A+. Exactly what I wanted. Sit on patio and listen to the waves all day. The unit is a little dated but it was much cheaper option compared to the other VRBOs in Malibu. Pro Tip: If someone is sleeping on the pullout couch bed, ask the maintenance guy to bring another mattress to stack on top of the one on the bed otherwise it is really uncomfortable.
