Adorable Lopez Island Cottage

  • Adorable newly built Lopez Island cottage now ready for your relaxation and recreational enjoyment.

    Conveniently located a scant mile from the Lopez Island ferry dock. Craftsman style home replicates a 1920' s era cottage with hardwood floors and modern amenities. Bright and cheery dining alcove, kitchen island with bar seating, corian countertops, and bead board cabinetry.

    The cottage has an especially pleasant southerly facing front porch with Adirondack chairs. Property is nestled on a private two acres with lawn and trees. Cottage's two-bedrooms plus spacious loft sleeps six comfortably.

    The cottage is across the road from Odlin Park with its sandy beach, barbecue facilities, boat launch, hiking trails, and softball field. Lopez is a favorite destination for bicyclists. Bicycles and kayaks are available for rent in the Village.

    Getaway to the slower pace of 'island' life, walk the beaches, catch a glimpse of a soaring eagle, and find out why Lopez is called the 'friendly isle.'

On the island for a work project. Enjoyed returning to the cute cabin at the end of the day.It was comfortable and nicely appointed, and with a nice little deck on which to unwind.Only a ten minutes drive to town.

Such a clean & Tidy Pkace

Every bed was neat and ready for some good night’s sleep. Bathroom and kitchen impeccable. And oh so wonderfully quiet with rabbits and dear roaming about, birds chirping in the morning, no noisy neighbors. Would definitely stay another week in another year.

Delightful little house

The location was perfect as a home base for cycling around the island. It was a small home with just the right amenities for a comfortable and pleasant stay! Has easy parking and a bike rack out front.

The perfect anniversary getaway spot

Incredibly clean, quiet, simple, sweet. Enjoyed the cleanliness of the property and the beautiful bouquet of flowers to greet us upon arrival. It was the perfect home base for a relaxing weekend away from the city. We can't wait to visit Lopez Island again.

Peaceful and cozy

What a lovely location! Walking distance to a park with a nice beach and tide pools. The kitchen is well supplied and we had no problem preparing all our meals. Deer wandered through the yard almost every evening while we ate dinner. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Having an efficient laundry machine was a huge bonus for us as well. Thanks, Kevin and Laurie! The house is terrific!

Great Stay

Really clean, comfortable and quiet house in a private location. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Just a few miles to the village, walk over to the beach at Odlin or just down the road to soak up the sights. Especially good spot if you’re a cyclist.

Charming cottage near the beach

We were immediately impressed by the extensive literature collection and beautiful yard full of deer. The house was clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed our time. Overall, this was the island slow down we needed.

Clean + nice location

Bud cottage was very clean and comfortable, and was the perfect spot to reach all our destinations on Lopez. The hosts left flowers for us and were quick to communicate. The house was a bit sparsely furnished, but we knew this from the listing. Overall, a fantastic place to stay and we were well satisfied.

Charming Cottage in Peaceful Setting

The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and had all the cooking utensils we needed. The book collection was awesome. It was in a quiet, beautiful clearing with resident deer visiting every day. Close enough to Odlin Park to walk and enjoy the sound. Close enough to the Village to explore. We would definitely stay here again.

This really was an Adorable Cottage!

This adorable cottage was so comfy and had lots of room. The WiFi/tv was great. Incredible books on the bookshelves. Fresh flowers and a beautiful photo note welcomed us. Washer/dryer was appreciated. The host was so kind helping us add more days and responding to our request for supplies. This is a unique cottage that was a pleasure to stay in.

Clean, comfortable, great location.

We spent the week kayaking and biking and this was a great location for both, plus close to the ferry. The house could use more hangers, some bathroom hooks, more glasses, and mirrors in the bedrooms (to help with only having one bathroom). The classics library is impressive!

Sweet cottage on Lopez Island

We loved staying in this adorable cottage which had a well-equipped kitchen and some nice hanging out space in the living room and eating nook. Laurie went above and beyond to help us figure out how to navigate Lopez Island without a car. We stayed for 6 days so had a lot of time to explore all the island had to offer on foot and by bicycle. Our only suggestions would be to add hooks/bars in the bathroom for towels, somewhere at the entrance to put coats and shoes, and a grill would be nice. Next time I get to Lopez, I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely cottage with some caveats

This cottage is beautiful and super clean. We enjoyed the ample counter space in the kitchen. The hosts were SUPER responsive to communication -- almost instantaneous! It's just a few minutes to walk to the beach at Odlin County Park. Our group had two caveats to share with prospective guests: 1) there was zero internet connection in the bedrooms. The hosts came over to try to improve things but were unable to do so. Some of us had work to do and that made it difficult to get things done. 2) The cottage is in a very quiet area in terms of the exterior. The interior was a different situation. The heaters are quite loud and the bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine. Somehow the bathroom fan was louder outside the bathroom than inside. The interior walls don't seem to have sound insulation, so sound travels easily, especially to/from the loft to the common area. If these issues wouldn't bother you, you are certain to have a lovely time at the cottage.
