  • Former detached mill. Ground floor: living room (double sofa bed) with kitchenette and lounge area, laundry room with toilet.

    Upstairs: mezzanine bedroom (double bed), shower room.
    Terrace. Reversible air conditioning on the ground floor and electric heating included.
    Located on the edge of a very quiet road and a river below. Petanque court and tennis court a few meters away.
    €2/day supplement for pets. Fishing permit available for the communal pond 500 meters away. Fishing is prohibited in the family pond belonging to the cottage.
    For business travelers, cleaning is mandatory. Ideal for hiking enthusiasts (on foot, horseback, or bicycle), this small cottage is located in the heart of the Longny au Perche and Charencey forests, a few meters from the 15-hectare family pond. You'll likely spot swans on the pond and big game along the trails!

Lovely gite. Sat out on the terrace and watched lizards, thrushes, flycatchers and butterflies in...

It is such a lovely little gite. We really enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owner as we had a text from her to say she didn't meet us as she couldn't speak English so any queries would be better sent to poplidays. It is an ancient old watermill and the mill race is still there so the sound of running water was an enjoyable extra. Whilst the gite was great the description of the facilities on the website is inaccurate. There is parking in front of the gite, although in tge description it said 'No parking' and the bed was already made up so we didn't need the bedlinen we brought from England. Although it stated that we needed to bring our own bedlinen and towels. Bring your own towels though as they are not included. The list of the facilities omitted the fact that there is an iron, and a hairdryer and this too needs to be amended as we brought our own which wasn't necessary. There is even an ironing board there. I will be writing to Poplidays to ask them to amend the list of facilities. That apart this is no reflection on the gite as it is a lovely place to stay and we would happily stay there again. One thing I would ask the owner though would be please could you give some details of the history of this ancient mill in the information book in the gite, that is if you have any information about it?

Wanneer je van echte rust houd

Je moet beschikken over een rijbewijs want alles wat enigszins interessant is ligt op ca. 1 uur rijden vanaf deze locatie. Er is verder weinig te beleven. Verder is het een prima huisje maar met erg veel wespen omdat het vuil inleverpunt 50 meter bij het huis vandaan is. Voor ons was het dus niet hetgeen we ervan gehoopt hadden maar daar kan de verhuurder verder niets aan doen.
