Pet friendly single family home located in the quiet residential neighborhood of Sleepy Lagoon on the north end of Longboat Key. This home is directly on the water with a 60' wide saltwater canal in the backyard. Manatees, pelicans and jumping mullet are frequent visitors.
If you love the beach, it's a 7 minute walk to one of the most pristine beaches in Florida. The sand is like powdered sugar because it is 99% pure quartz. The house is immaculately clean and well appointed. We provide comfy beds, high quality linens and a fully stocked kitchen. People love the indoor/outdoor living on the spacious back deck or in the screened front pool area.

One level living, spacious and comfortable. Fantastic views abound through gigantic living room picture window plus 3 full sized sliding glass doors overlooking canal. It's like living in a nature sanctuary with manatees, egrets and tons of fish as frequent visitors.
Spacious back deck. Screened in front porch with comfy seating overlooking a fantastic swimming pool. High quality mattresses, crisp linens and a well stocked kitchen. We've tried to think of everything so you have all the comforts of home.
High Def Smart TVs, Lightning Fast WiFi Internet, granite counter tops and stainless appliances, fully stocked with amenities such as; paper goods, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas, laundry detergent, etc.

Wonderful, Relaxing Vacation

We had a very restful vacation on the canal. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was comfortable and exactly as described. The beach was only a short walk away. Stephanie was attentive and easy to communicate with. We would love to stay again.

Picture perfect week!

The Sleepy Lagoon Bungalow is a beautiful, quiet spot, close to plenty of attractions, but far enough from the crowds to provide relaxation and reprieve from life's busyness! We had perfect weather every day -- mid 70s and blue skies -- and kept busy enjoying the quiet beach, pool, fishing, kayaking, and exploring the area. The house comes with everything you may need and Mike and Stephanie are responsive, kind, and attentive. We wish we could have stayed for a month! We highly recommend it!

Great location for family vacation!

This home was awesome! It is super clean, charming and welcoming. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly and only 2 blocks away from the best beach on Long boat Key. They don't miss a thing on amenities. Kitchen has everything you need, like being at home. Outside Grill & fireplace which we enjoyed as well as the pool. Bedrooms all have their own designated bathrooms, and are spotless. Stephanie is so accommodating, and is so responsive to any inquires. She is an excellent host who cares. Highly recommended.

A Slice of Paradise

The Sleepy Lagoon Bungalow is perfection! It's location is easily accessible and in a quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean and furnished with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely return and next time we will bring our boat!

Goes beyond expectation

Our family had a wonderful stay. We love the water, and the access to the bay and beach as well as the pool is fabulous. House was clean and equipped with everything you could need. Stephanie goes above and beyond, making sure there are pool flotation toys for adults and kids as well as extra everything in the house. She was easy to get a hold of for any questions. We will definitely return!

This property was more than I expected. We had an amazing 14 day stay

The perfect place to stay for a getaway. They home away from home but with nothing to do but enjoy ourselves, walk the beach just a couple blocks away, lay by the screened in pool, and enjoy the lagoon just out our back porch. The owners have thought of everything! We have already booked for our next vacation. Such an amazing place to relax.

This house is great- super clean as other reviewers note. Beach is beautiful and quiet, not crowded. Pool is great. The house is stocked well- beach gear, kitchen gadgets, etc. Nice quiet neighborhood. What I found unique is the thoughtful details- this place has detergent, trash bags, plenty of TP, hand soap, etc- the kind of stuff you usually get one of at a rental and have to bring or buy the rest. Longboat Key is gorgeous. Easy to drop in a kayak from this dock and tour the bay. Highly recommend!

Wonderful location to get away from the crowds and relax.

Had a great time with the family. House was clean and very well equipped. Great location to get away from the crowds of Bradenton Beach and Anna Maria but still a short drive. The calm canal was great location for our 19’ boat and easy access to the intercostal. Screened pool was a great place to cool off after a day on the boat. Great covered parking for two vehicles and room for our boat trailer next to the house.

The location was perfect and it was the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in.

We brought our boat for a fishing vacation and despite being very rainy weather, we were able to get out in our boat every day. We caught several fish and saw eight manatee at the end of the canal, herds of Tarpon just offshore and snook right at our dock. The house is nicely decorated and very clean. We were quite comfortable and had everything we needed.

All Key-ed Up!

Great house, great location and wonderful hosts! Recommend Backyard Bikes for rentals to ride the island and over to Anna Maria Island. Local meals at Mar Vista (get there early), Euphemia Haye (try upstairs bar for lighter fare), Lazy Lobster and Harry's (breakfast, lunch AND dinner) are convenient. Get into Sarasota for some exploring and to try Siesta Key public beach (also get there early for parking), but don't miss the north end of Anna Maria at the Sandbar for drinks, a meal and sunset. Also the Waterfront the other end of Spring Street from the Sandbar for the burger on the dinner menu!

Clean, comfortable, ideal location.

This property is ideally located in the north end of Longboat Key on a canal that’s great for fishing at your back door! The house is very clean, the beds and furniture very comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. All the conveniences of home at the beach. The walk to the beach is easy and short, and the beach is beautiful and uncrowded. Beach chairs, beach cart, beach towels, umbrellas, and sand toys were much appreciated. The pool is great, even though it was a little too cold to be enjoyed much. The washer and dryer are top notch and got a good workout from us this month! Stephanie and Mike were very helpful and always available if needed. Thank you for the use of your cast net and for placing the green light in the canal. Caught a couple snook too large to keep, but the kids liked the appearance of the squid the best. I would highly recommended this property and am only disappointed that it’s already rented for next winter.

Sleepy Lagoon Bungalow says it all

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. It was great to go to the beach early, is there a better way to start the day, and end the day watching the beautiful sunsets. My husband enjoyed playing golf at the near-by golf courses. Shopping and awesome restaurants were near, It was fun to spend time at St Armand’s Circle especially the quaint outdoor restaurants where one could do “people watching”. The hosts,Mike and Stephanie, checked to see if we needed anything and to answer any question. Mike came to the house and put a light in the canal, so we could watch the fish swimming at night. We “loved” it. He also told us about an art show in Sarasota, that we would never have found by ourselves and also told us about some good restaurants. We enjoyed our visit

Relaxing, relaxing, relaxing

The house is very clean, comfortable and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The beach is just a very short walk away. We grilled and enjoyed wine on the spacious back deck. Stephanie has made every effort to insure that her guests have all the little things that separate average homes from excellent ones. All in all it was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Relaxing home in Paradise

When we rented this house, we had not bought a home in nearby Bradenton. We did find a house so what was supposed to be a relaxing time was filled with home inspections, walk-throughs, unpacking and all the little details that need to be completed before you can move into a new home. It was wonderful to be able to come back to this home after working all day to get the new place ready. We got to stare longingly at our boat, easily parked next to the house and located very near the local boat ramp. We relaxed at night on comfortable furniture before falling into the very comfortable bed with soft sheets. While we took advantage of many of the restaurants located within easy driving distance (Lazy Lobster and Bridge Tender Inn are two of our favorites) we could have used the very well equipped kitchen at the house. This was the best equipped kitchen of all the homes we have stayed at. The closets were also some of the largest we have had. There is a beautiful deck and a fire pit in the back of the house along the canal. We enjoyed sitting out there, reading the newspaper or just watching the water. The only drawback was the water pressure in the showers. This is not the first time we have encountered this on Longboat Key so it must be either the city water system or the age of the homes. Any questions we had were promptly answered by Stephanie, the owner of this great place. All in all, this is a wonderful place to stay and if we weren't lucky enough to now be living so close by, we would definitely stay here again

Beautiful house on the canal, minutes from the beach.

This was definitely one of the nicest, cleanest places we have stayed in. The house has every amenity you could imagine. It is located in a great spot and only minutes from the beach. We loved it and will definitely be back. The only thing I did not get to do was enjoy the lovely pool as the water was a bit chilly for me. If you are considering a place to stay in Longboat Key, this is definitely it. You will not be disappointed and Stephanie was awesome.

Very nice, very clean, great location on north end of island

We have been coming to longboat key twice a year for about 12 years. This was defiantly one of the cleanest homes we have ever stayed at, house was very well kept. Nice washer and dryer, good firm mattress in master, nice kitchen, all appliances very nice. Property well kept and close to some of the restaurants we always frequent (Bayou Tavern and Grill, Lazy Lobster, Euphemia Haye, Dry Dock). Good communication with owners, simply can't go wrong with this vacation rental

Wonderful getaway

We loved this cute house. It was nice to relax in the pool, fish off the dock, and take a short stroll to the beach while being away from the crowds. And the owner was just a phone call or text away for any questions. Such a wonderful, relaxing time.
