This was a beautiful home and a beautiful location. Our host was extremely attentive and responded very quickly to all of our questions. We had a group of 18 and everyone agreed we’d like to go back again but this time try it in the summer. If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all this would be it. My only disappointment was when I initially booked the house. It was listed at one price unfortunately something happened & my reservation didn’t go through so the next day I re-reserved it and the price had doubled and when I asked for an explanation, I never got it. I still rented it, but I think that was a little unfair.

We had a great time at Golden Acres Lodge for our family reunion. Beautiful bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms are one of the best features of the Lodge that attracted us. Sarah and Chad are the best hosts! Communications were helpful and seamless. We appreciated all of the many wonderful elements of the Lodge and the property.

We had a group of 13 moms and their 8th grade sons stay for 3 nights. The property is great for such a large group, as there are plenty of spaces for group activities and lots of room to spread out. The boys took advantage of the fishing pond, bocce ball, movie theatre, hot tub and pool table. The cabin was very clean and well-appointed. Plenty of towels and toilet paper! We used the kitchen for every meal. Beds were comfortable and there are enough bathrooms to accommodate everyone without a wait. We had a satellite connection issue and a blown fuse during our stay, but Sarah responded immediately and solved our problems. A 10-15 minute drive to excellent hiking. Several members of our group are considering coming back with their extended families. We all loved the home. Not a complaint from any one of our 26-person group!

The property was gorgeous and SO much storage. We had a private chef come and the storage space and two fridges, was perfect to have. I would go back again! We even had a little issue with the theater and the response time from the host was speedy! Dont miss out on taking a walk on the 40 acres!

Amazing stay at this beautiful home. Plenty of room for everyone. We had 18 adults and one 2 year old. We were pleasantly surprised to find a play set for toddlers, a crib & high chair plus plenty of books for kids. The theater was so comfy and spacious…we used it daily! Property owners had firewood stocked and we took advantage of using the QR code to buy their souvenir coffee mugs. The location of this house was super convenient as it was located minutes from the state park and horseback riding. We also stopped at the nearby general store for 48 flavors of soft serve ice cream a few times. We cooked everyday - there was plenty of crock pots & appliances. bigger serving platters and serving bowls would’ve been nice and the kitchen didn’t have a whisk, but honestly it was all enough to make 3 meals & snacks for our decent sized group. We all had such a great time there and everyone felt at home. Thank you for everything & for being the best Vrbo hosts ever!!!5-stars! We highly recommend.

Beautiful property

The home is beautiful and the entire property is really nice. We had 6 couples and we had plenty of space and our own bathroom. The only problem we had was there was water on the carpet in one of the basement bedrooms and if smelled musty down there. The pond area and walking trail were nice as well. We’d stay again for sure

Retirees Braving the Elements

This property was incredible. There were 14 of us aged 65-82 and we ventured a few hours from home for a grand adventure (we just didn’t know when we booked months ago that wind chills would be 20 below zero!). The cabin was very beautiful, clean and spacious. We were all very pleased with the accommodations.

Great Vacation

We lived our time at Golden Acres. It was our annual family trip with all of our children and grandchildren. Brand new house with every amenity possible. Games, firepit, hot tub. We had a blast.

Beautiful family birthday celebration/vacation

What an amazing property! We had a group of 20 people ranging from 6 months to 70 years old and everyone had an amazing time. The cabin is everything the pictures show and more. The grounds are gorgeous. The location is perfect. I can’t recommend Golden Acres enough. 10 out of 10 all the way.

Great couples getaway

Beautiful house, great layout, plenty of space, and lots to do. We loved the Bocce ball pit! Tons of fun memories and friendly competition with a simple ball tossing game. This house was VERY clean.

Absolutely wonderful!

The lodge and property were beautiful. Everything was so clean, and we loved having the linens and towels furnished. Plenty to do on-site. The kitchen was phenomenal as well as the well-stocked cupboards. None of us (18) wanted to leave!

Family Glamping

10/10 highly recommended!!! We had three generations of family on this trip and stayed at the Golden Acres Lodge. This was the perfect spot for our family to make priceless memories. We enjoyed everything about this location. The younger generation had fun fishing at the pond, the older generation enjoyed the movie theater and all generations loved sitting by the campfire listening to music, singing and talking. We would highly recommend this for any large group gathering! We were discussing on returning next year and possibly staying a week as a long weekend wasn’t enough time for us.

Fantastic!

Property was amazing, house was beautiful, directions were easy. We had everything we needed and more. So much to do at the house and around. We can’t say enough about how wonderful it was for us! Game room, theater room, hot tub, bocce, corn hole, fire pit, pool table, air hockey and tether ball!! Everything was well thought out about the house and the amenities. Sarah’s communication was thorough and prompt.
