Country Living with all the Amenities

Welcome to Spencer Ranch. The remodeled home sleeps 8 adults inside, but allows for more guests if you want to bring in an RV, trailer, or throw up some tents. We are sitting on 8.5 beautiful acres, surrounded by horses, cattle, and even a small forested area with walking trails. The home has all new appliances, A/C, and WIFI, to keep everyone comfortable and entertained, while still allowing you to unplug and enjoy some peace and quiet on this large property. Great place for the whole family!!

Just a Little Shy of Greatness

We were visiting Lockhart, TX, that weekend to enjoy a two-day BBQ fest and this property's location was perfect. A quiet and comfortable home base that wasn't too close or too far. There were three small things that keep me from giving a five-star review: One bedroom had zero air-flow except for a floor vent at the foot of the bed. It won't make a difference for some folks but it was stuffy and warm for us. There was no screen on the balcony door so leaving that door open for some air would allow any and all critters to join us. There were no garbage bags. Anywhere. Of course, we didn't find out until we needed one, right? There was no toaster. We bought bread for large breakfasts and... Who doesn't have a toaster? Communications with and the responsiveness of the caretaker were OUTSTANDING. He brought garbage bags the next day and actually bought and delivered a toaster. AWESOME. Thank you so much. This was not a disaster, by any means, and I hope I don't sound whiny, but it jusssst isn't quite up to a five-star rating. Close. Thanks for the stay!

Awesome quiet relaxing cool place!

Had a wonderful stay at Spencer ranch, house was clean and it stayed wonderfully cool in the house in this extremely hot Texas weather! Jesse was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of! Great place! Would definitely go back some time!

Spencer Ranch

Renting this property was easy and Jesse was wonderful! He was there if you had a question and always returned messages in a timely fashion. The property is gorgeous and so relaxing sitting outside. The house was beautifully decorated and had all modern conveniences. I would definitely stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay

We are a family of six, including mostly college aged children. This was an opportunity for us to reconnect over spring break and spend time in a relaxed setting. Remarkably, the college aged kids were quite happy to relax, spend time playing sports outside, and hanging with the family in the evenings. We will be back.

Loved the open spaces around the property. My blind dog was able to trot around and play with no obstacles. There were only a few fireworks on New Years Eve so that was a bonus. The kitchen was great. Definitely want to visit again!

Enjoyed it

Overall it was a wonderful place to stay. Very difficult for people to walk on rocks to enter house ( not good for seniors, or anyone who struggles physically) Was not convenient to be unable to gain access to the house from 1st floor bedroom without going outside.

Great place for family gathering.

Great place for a small quick trip to neighboring places like Mckinney Falls. The property was spacious enough for kids to run and play also pet friendly. Property manager was attentive and informative about the property. He also responded quickly to any questions or information needed about the house.

Lockhart Getaway

Updated comfortable modern interior with beautiful views in a large field. Perfect place for family to gather and enjoy time together inside or outside playing yard games. We loved the playground, rope swing and swinging bridge, as well as the fire pit. Quiet and private, with plenty of parking.

Absolutely Wonderful!!

My family and I recently stayed at this ranch and it was nothing short of amazing! The pictures don't do it justice. The house was recently remodeled and you can tell they paid attention to every detail. The kitchen was beautiful, the bathrooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean and new. We enjoyed the fire pit every night and sat under the stars listening to the crickets. It was very peaceful, quiet and serene. The property manager, Jesse, was extremely responsive and informative. The house is located close to Lockhart and about 30 minutes from Bastrop and Austin. I would highly recommend this house and will definitely stay again. Thank you so much for the lovely couple of days!
